Kareena Kapoor added the surname ‘Khan’ to her name by tying the knot with Saif Ali Khan in the year 2012. Kareena and Saif had welcomed their little bundle of joy, Taimur Ali Khan in 2016 and the little wonder has outlived the stardom of his star-parents. With his ever-smiling face and mannerism, Taimur has become the internet sensation and he is followed by the paps everywhere. It gets difficult for the star parents to accompany their child everywhere, but to give them a normal life, they don’t stop him/her from attending school and parties. And for their protection and safety, some celebs hire nannies for their kids.
That one person, who is clicked as much as Taimur Ali Khan is his nanny, Saviti. She has been spotted everywhere with little Tim and looks after him. We have spotted her accompanying the Khan pariwaar even on their vacations. The one question that has always surrounded the internet is the salary of Saviti. And a few reports had stated that her salary is equivalent to the salary of a few ministers. Saviti is earning a whopping amount of 1.5 lakhs per month as per the reports and recently, Kareena spoke on the same, in an interview the Pinkvilla. When Kareena was asked to react on the reports concerning Saviti’s salary of 1.5 lakh per month, she replied, “Really? But like I said, I don't talk shop."
As per a report published in an entertainment portal, Taimur Ali Khan’s nanny, Saviti gets Rs. 1.5 lakh per month and she also get overtime fees for the extra hours she spends in the Khan household. A source had informed the portal, “Taimur’s nanny draws a basic salary of Rs 1.5 lakh a month. It can go up to Rs 1.75 lakh depending on the extra hours she spends at his home. There is an over-time fee for every extra hour spent with the child. Kareena was invited on Arbaaz Khan’s digital talk show, Pinch by Arbaaz Khan, wherein, she had talked her heart out on trolling and many other things, one of them being a question about Taimur’s nanny. The host, Arbaaz had asked her about the nanny’s salary, “Your nanny apparently draws a salary more than some people in the ministry do”. This question left Kareena in shock and she had revealed, “Accha, really. How do they know? But that should be addressed by the ministry. There is no price for anything as long as your child is happy and safe. There is no price for that.” She had further gone on to say, “The idea is that the child should be happy and in safe hands.”
Earlier, in an episode of Kareena’s radio show, What Women Want, the actress had opened up about people who shame celeb moms. She had shared an incident where she was trolled and had said, “I have to address one thing… recently I got trolled on a photo where I was getting into a private jet… and the trolling was about how apparently, I’m a careless mother who’s letting my kid be brought up by nannies.” Kareena had given a befitting reply to all those who think she is a careless mom and was quoted as saying, “To you judgemental folks who know nothing about my life, please note that there’s a finger I’m showing you in my mind right now.”
In an interview with the Filmfare magazine, Kareena had shared how she strikes the balance between her work and her family. She had stated, "I was working through my pregnancy. Then five and a half months after my delivery, I began working on Veere Di Wedding. I took Taimur to Delhi for the shoot. I’m lucky to have an understanding husband who said, ‘I appreciate the fact that you want to continue your dream’. That’s the most important thing in a marriage."
