On May 08, 2018, Bollywood’s fashionista and Veere Di Wedding actress, Sonam Kapoor became Sonam Kapoor Ahuja when she took the wedding vows in the Anand Karaj ceremony in a Gurudwara wedding with her long-time beau, Anand Ahuja. It all started with the mehendi ceremony on May 06, 2018 and ended with a rocking reception on May 08, 2018.
Sonam and Anand’s wedding functions witnessed many Bollywood stars gracing various occasions. But there was one guest whose appearance stole all our hearts, and it was Sonam’s co-star from her upcoming film, Veere Di Wedding. Yes, you guessed it correctly. In a viral pic shared by Sonam’s sister, Rhea Kapoor, the love between Sonam and Kareena is so evidently brimming that there is no one who would see the pic and not go ‘awww’. It feels as if Kareena played the perfect bridesmaid for Sonam. Rhea captioned the pic, “And they say actresses can’t be friends. Couldn’t help myself. Real and reel bride. Happy girls, strong independent, crazy talented and also just crazy. It’s been a two-year long journey and now it’s all just ten days away. #sentimentalproducer #sentimentalsister also just mental”. Their upcoming movie, Veere Di Wedding, depicts a strong connection that women share among themselves, contrary to the popular opinion of hatred driven friendship between them. Rhea’s post also shuts the many mouths who have been giving fodder to the rumour mills about a major fallout between Sonam and Kareena. Clearing the air to Mid-Day, Sonam earlier maintained that there is no rivalry and jealousy between the actresses. She was quoted as saying, “There’s no rivalry between us. In fact, Bebo (Kareena), me, Rhea (Kapoor) and Lolo (Karisma Kapoor) have a WhatsApp group, called The Kapoor Girls. We post each other’s yesteryear pictures on it. Bebo and I have been friends for 15 years”.
For Sonam’s wedding, on the morning of May 08, 2018, Kareena arrived with her hubby Saif and their cutesy son, Taimur Ali Khan. Kareena looked elegant in her pastel pink embellished anarkali while, Saif looked handsome in a kurta-pyjama, perfectly complementing his wife and son. Taimur, on the other hand, looked super cute in a pink sherwani with his hair tied neatly in man bun and the trio undoubtedly made the heads turn.
