It's been 12 years when television actor, Karanvir Bohra, and his ladylove, Teejay Sidhu tied the knot and decided to start their own 'happily ever after'. And even after the birth of their twin daughters, Vienna and Bella, the duo still looks like a just-married couple, who haven't yet gotten over their honeymoon period. The couple has redefined the meaning of marriages for the millennials and their constant effort to keep the spark burning in their relationships is an inspiration for us all. For those who don't know, Karanvir and Teejay had a filmy start to their love story. They had met through model, Anupama Chopra and in their first meeting itself, they felt the sparks and the actor had even dropped his future Mrs to her home. We still remember how in an interview, Karanvir had shared that in the second meeting only he had decided to marry Teejay. And rest, as we say, is history!
Karanvir and Teejay often share snippets of their happy paradise often and the pain when they are away from each other. Recently, Karanvir took to his Instagram handle and shared a cute video with Teejay from the airport. In the caption, he wished her a happy journey and stated how he cannot get over her 'chehra'. He wrote, "Have a safe flight my darling. will miss #terachera so much @bombaysunshine."
Coming back to their love story, in an interview, Karanvir had spilt the beans on his relationship with Teejay. He had shared, "Teejay had accompanied Anupama and when she had to leave, I told her that I would drop Teejay. But we ended up chatting for hours on the steps. Since we had met at the church, I decided to propose to her there. So, exactly a year after having met the first time, I decided to surprise Teejay. I had all our friends waiting at the church and I just drove Teejay there without her knowing any of it. I proposed to her on the steps, and the moment she said yes, all our friends came forth and we got engaged there and then. Helen aunty, who is Teejay's godmother blessed us, and the fact that it was happening with the blessing of Mother Mary made it all the more special. We have always felt blessed as a couple." In an interview with the Statesman, Teejay had talked about meeting Karanvir for the first time, and had stated, "We met by chance one night at Mount Mary’s Church. He was there lighting candles, and so was I. And maybe we were both wishing for the same thing. At that time, I was certain I did not want to marry an actor but he was persistent from the day we met. He did not have the attitude that I thought an actor would have. He was not egoistic, vain, and he wasn’t interested in chasing girls. He only wanted one good person in his life. He was also very kind and had a high ‘spiritual quotient’ which really attracted me to him."
After 10 years of living happily as two, the couple was blessed by God's double grace in the form of twin angels. In an interview, Teejay had shared how Karanvir had reacted to her pregnancy news, and had revealed, "The news came as a pleasant shock. Karanvir didn't believe me at first when I informed him. In fact, it took us some time to digest the news. I'd signed a three-year contract for my TV show, and I wasn't expecting a little person just yet. But of course, we were thrilled! Work can wait. Now, it's time to trust God's timing and his plan."
Teejay had also opened up about her motherhood journey, and had said, "It’s been a terrific journey! I had children after nine years of marriage, so I had plenty of time to travel, chase dreams, and spend some wonderful time with Karanvir. I did almost everything on my bucket list. The babies came at a time when I was ready for children. They were not planned, but in my life, I have always trusted God’s timing – he knows best, and he knew best this time too.
