Since then, Kamya never misses a chance to share glimpses of her life with the man of her dreams. And now, she shared her 'darling hubby', Shalabh's adorable reaction when she went down on her knees and proposed him.
On August 30, 2020, Kamya took to her Instagram handle and shared a video from their Ganpati celebrations, wherein she got romantic and proposed to Shalabh. In the video, we can see Kamya getting down on her knees with a flower in her hand, and Shalabh was left speechless, and he adorably hugged her. Alongside the video, Kamya wrote, "When I went down on my knees to let the man know what he means to me, his reaction was to die for. I love you Shalabh Dang u have a safe flight, I'm missing you already. You have a safe flight. I'm gonna see you soon. P.S pls excuse him for the constant back to the camera. Actor nahi hai na camera facing se inka koi lena dena nahi hai." On this, Shalabh instantly commented, "Love you too@panjabikamya you zapped me with flowers and your gesture as this is the first time you have done something like this for anyone in your life. Miss you already and see ya soon."
In a post-marriage interview with the Bombay Times, Kamya had talked about her wedding and how she had danced her heart out at her own wedding reception. She had shared, "I wanted my marriage to be an intimate affair with only our families and close friends in attendance, besides it was held in a gurdwara. However, I also wanted to celebrate the new beginnings of my life with all those who matter to me and so, I hosted a reception (which took place last night). I didn't want it to be a typical affair where the newly-weds stand on stage and meet and greet the guests. I wanted to be as involved as possible and dance to my heart's content." For those who don't know, Kamya Panjabi was earlier married to a businessman, Bunty Negi. In the year 2006, the duo had welcomed a girl, whom they had named, Aara. However, Kamya and Bunty had parted ways and had filed for divorce in the year 2013. The actress has now created a new life with her Mister Perfect, Shalabh. However, she was subjected to trolling as an Instagram user had posted a nasty comment and had asked her why is she re-marrying despite having a 10-year-old daughter. The user had written, "You already have 2 children so why you do it? I mean phir shadi?"
That's when Kamya's best friend and television actress, Kavita Kaushik had decided to give the right lesson to the troller and she had commented, "Because you get married so you have a partner/companion/best friend/soulmate.. for life! There is life beyond producing children, don't find faults in people who try to build their lives and find happiness, try to be happy for others instead of asking silly questions at such a happy time of theirs.
