Kalki Koechlin's Beau, Guy Hershberg Keeps An Eye On The Sleeping Mama Bear And Baby Bear

Motherhood is a bumpy ride which is filled with its own share of happy and gloomy days. Despite it all, one thing is for sure that mothers never want to quit or take a break from this job as they feel immense pleasure in raising their child. Thanks to the modernisation, now the 'papa bears' are also helping their 'better-halves' and happily taking on their 'daddy duties'. And a perfect example of it is Bollywood actress, Kalki Koechlin's beau, Guy Hershberg and together they are nurturing their little baby girl. (Recommend Read: Jay Bhanushali And Mahhi Vij's Baby Girl, Tara Looks Like An Angel While Sleeping In This Picture)

On February 7, 2020, Kalki Koechlin had embraced parenthood with her beau, Guy Hershberg. A couple of days ago, she had taken to her Instagram handle and shared the footprints of her baby girl. Along with it, she had written, "Please welcome Sappho. Born 07/02/20. She just spent 9 months wrapped up like a momo in my uterus. Let's give her some space. Thank you for all the good wishes and positive energy pouring in. And respect to all the women who go through the intense and gruesome experience of birth, be it vaginal or c section, so many of whom are not given credit or support for the biggest challenges they face, but are expected to do it out of some kind of duty. The process takes a huge toll both psychological and physical and should have the backing of an entire community to truly heal. And a reminder to each and every human being of where we started, being formed from tiny molecules to conscious, beautiful beings. We are survivors of the biggest battle, the one for life and existence, and should treat ourselves and others with that love and respect. "Some say an army of horsemen or infantry, A fleet of ships is the fairest thing on the black earth, but I say It's what one loves." ~Sappho~ circa 600BC."

On the occasion of International Women's Day (March 8, 2020), Kalki took to her Instagram handle and posted a quick-nap picture with her daughter, Sappho in her arms. Along with it, she wrote a long note and stated that it is her beau, who is keeping an eye on them while they are sleeping. Her empowering note can be read as "Dear women, May you get to do exactly what you want and not what is expected of you or what you're supposed to do. May you give yourself time, love and rest. May you always remember to prioritize yourself in a world which might put you to one side, to pat yourself on the back for the 'invisible' work that you do, and to vocalise the troubles that you overcome . May you never refrain from laughing too loud, or expressing too aggressively or dressing too provocatively. May you look at yourself through the eyes of experience and celebration and not the objectification of the male gaze, may you learn the difference between well-intentioned patriarchal advice and true feminist criticism. May you unhook your bra strap, get into your comfiest pyjamas and chill the fuck out. Love from a happy, exhausted feminist mama bear #happywomensday #womenmatter. (By the way, don't worry, the baby is safe. The daddy who took the picture is keeping an eye on us #menmatter). Check it out below:

A couple of weeks ago, Kalki had shared a monochrome picture of hugging her baby while she slept peacefully in her arms. Kalki had defied all the societal notions. When she had appeared on Kareena Kapoor Khan's radio show, What Women Want, Kalki had revealed how her family reacted on her pregnancy before tying the knot. The actress had shared that her family is quite unconventional in terms of it. They are not too traditional in the sense of having to be married and all of that. She had also stated that her mother was like, ‘Look, next time you marry, just make sure it’s for life.’ So she wasn’t in a big hurry.

In another interview with Miss Malini, Kalki had revealed the first thing she did when she got to know about her pregnancy. She had said, “I went and immediately bought another pregnancy test, just to make sure. But it was a very happy reaction. I think the last few years have been a situation where, I know I have wanted children, but either the times wasn’t right or I wasn’t with the right person. Or whatever, there was something! So all those things seemed to have come in place this time. Even though it wasn’t planned as we were thinking maybe in a year or two. But I think that’s the best thing about it. Now we are just diving right into it without too much pre-planning." (Don't Miss: Isha Ambani Looks Gorgeous In A White Ensemble For Holi Bash, Wins Our Heart With Her Classy Look)
