The good news is that, as per a Times of India report, Kajol Srivastava is getting engaged to Ankit Khare, an IT engineer on November 24, 2018. The ceremony is set to take place in Banda, Uttar Pradesh which happens to be her hometown. It must also be mentioned here that Kajol and Ankit’s love story is right out of a Hindi film.
Yes, Ankit is Kajol's sister's brother-in-law. It was during her sister’s wedding last April in 2017 when Kajol and Ankit met for the first time. The two hit off instantly and have been dating since then. After a relationship of almost a year, Kajol and Ankit decided to take their relationship to another level, and now in less than 20 days, they are getting engaged.
Talking to TOI, Kajol revealed how she first met Ankit and the fact that she didn’t like him at all initially, “My sister had asked me to help my jiju (brother-in-law) with shopping. I, along with my family, went to Pune 20 days before the wedding and that’s when I first met Ankit. I hated him initially, because he came across as arrogant. Then her perception towards him eventually changed and Kajol told TOI, “He is a genuine and loyal person. We kept in touch after the wedding and became friends by November. What helped us bond over was our love for travelling and the fact that both of us are family-oriented. Soon, we realised that what we shared was more than just friendship. In the meanwhile, their families also felt that they are a perfect pair. The rest, as they say, is history”.
Kajol also shared that Ankit has been living and working in Denver (US) for the past 4 years, and that they have managed to successfully make their relationship work. On being asked about the challenges of long-distance relationship, Kajol retorted, “The challenges are trust issues and time difference. However, he made sure to keep in touch with me through phone and video calls. We trust each other blindly, and would constantly update each other about whatever we were doing. Ankit has put in a lot of effort to make it work”.
The couple is planning to tie the nuptial knot in 2019. As we all know that Kajol is a TV actress and hence her fans must be curious to know if she would shift to the US after marriage. To this she commented, “That is impossible, I can’t quit the industry. I love acting and Ankit knows how passionate I am about my profession. I feel lucky to have him in my life, as he has told me that he would relocate to Mumbai if I take up a show, or I could travel to the US if I want to take a short break”.
