Ajay Devgn and Kajol had never officially proposed each other. In fact, by their own admission, they grew with each other and marriage was quite evident. Time and again, they have spoken reverently about one another, and even though, it may seem unwanted, whenever we talk about Ajay Devgn and Kajol's marital life, his rumoured ex-flames are always brought in, into the conversation.
Ajay Devgn is all set to shine on the silver screens on May 17, 2019, when his film De De Pyaar De releases. During one of the promotional events, Ajay Devgn was asked as to how does Kajol react when she catches him looking at beautiful girls. Ajay Devgn candidly replied, "I must have felt, It's just normal to feel. You can't turn around and say I never felt that way."
De De Pyaar De is a film about a 40-something man (Ajay Devgn) who falls for a 20-something girl (Rakul Preet), and he was previously married to a woman of his age (Tabu), and they have two children. Commenting on the same if it has been the case in real life, Ajay Devgn was quoted as saying, "I never had that kind of a relationship as shown in the film. She would pass a comment, which would be a joke."
Ajay also shared how did wifey, Kajol react after seeing the trailer of his upcoming film, "She was okay. She knows this is a movie and she is from the industry and is much aware of how it functions."
Ajay Devgn and Kajol's love story is truly a personification of 'opposites attract each other'. Kajol had once shared that nobody wanted her and Ajay to get married. She had said, “Nobody wanted us to get married besides his family and my family. My family also was iffy. My dad didn’t talk to me for a week when I told him I wanted to get married. She had further added, "He was just like why do you want to get married, you’re so young and your career is doing so well and I was like but I want to get married. Ajay and I were very different people, so lots of people had reservations as to what we would be like as a couple and we were not very social even then. Not a lot of people had met us together or knew what we were like together.”
Ajay Devgn is a shy personality, and Kajol, on the other hand, is quite outspoken and candid. Opening up about the real reason behind surviving their marriage, Kajol had once remarked, “We have survived because both of us have worked through it together and we have two kids. It’s almost like we have become like one person who has these two children like their arms”.
In an interview once, Kajol was asked as to why did she marry at the peak of her career, she had replied, “It was the right thing for me to do at that point of time. I had been already working for around eight and a half to nine years. So, I was ready to kind of calm down on my work front and kind of take it easier.” She had further added, "I was doing four to five films a year. I didn't want to do only that and to only live like that. That wasn't what I had set out for. So, I assumed that I would get married and do one film a year. I'll be happier and be more settled."
