To give a recap of Jwala Gutta and Vishnu Vishal’s relationship, then it was in September 2020, when he had announced their engagement in a birthday special post for her on social media. Posting pictures with his ladylove in which Jwala happily flaunted her engagement ring, Vishnu had written, “Happy birthday @jwalagutta1. New start to LIFE. Thank you @jainbasanth for arranging a ring in d middle of d night #EngagementRingJugaad.”
As we wait for Jwala Gutta and Vishnu Vishal’s wedding news, we got our hands on a beautiful picture of the couple from her sister’s mehendi function. For the ceremony, Jwala looked gorgeous in an icey-blue lehenga and flaunted her mehendi clad hands, while her fiancé, Vishal complemented her in a grey coloured ensemble. In another picture, Jwala was all smiles with her mother as they posed in their mehendi clan hands.
Jwala Gutta, who is country’s top-ranked doubles specialist in Badminton, has also been a victim of misogyny and a target of objectifying eyes. Addressing the sexist standards that plague our society and her social media handles, Jwala had once revealed how she deals with perverse derogatory comments and body-shaming. In an interview with Sportskeeda, Jwala had said, “They (trolls) fail to realise is that we are also normal human beings who want to look good. That doesn’t mean you add labels or prefixes to our name. We also have families, who might find such comments absolutely deplorable, just like theirs.” She had continued, “If I look a certain way, it doesn’t mean I’m ‘fast’ or ‘active’, which are milder comments among the lot. It’s just a personal choice. So how does that make me ‘easy to get’, and all the other prefixes that are being attached?” (Also Read: 'Dance Plus' Judge, Punit J Pathak Gets Married With Nidhi Moony Singh In An Intimate Ceremony)
For the uninitiated, Jwala Gutta had started playing badminton at the age of six and in 2000, she had won the Junior National Badminton Championship. In the same year, Jwala had also won the Women's Doubles Junior National Championship and the Senior National Badminton Championship, both in partnership with Shruti Kurien. Speaking about the hurdles in her initial days of journey and how her parents thought that she wasn’t making the right choice, Jwala had stated in an interview with the IANS, "When I took up doubles, I was surrounded by a lot of criticism. Even my parents thought that I wasn't making the right choice, but like I said before, I believe in myself and my skills and it was important for me to make a difference."
Coming back to Jwala Gutta and Vishnu Vishal’s relationship, then in an interview with ABN Andhrajyothi, she had admitted her relationship and said that there’s nothing to hide as social media is a proof of their bond. Jwala had said, "Yes, we are dating. Like i said already, there is nothing to hide. We will get married soon, and once the dates are fixed or we begin the arrangements, we will announce it."
