Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are the evergreen couple in Bollywood, from whom millions of millennials have taken inspiration. They had tied the knot on June 3, 1973, and still continue to be each other’s loudest cheerleaders and greatest critique. From enjoying old-school romance to being the most incredible husband and wife, Amitabh and Jaya’s jodi is loved by all.
This time, veteran actress, Jaya called her hubby an ‘old’ man and revealed that he doesn't like when her friends visit her at home. She also said that Amitabh Bachchan has changed and is no longer the same person he used to be.

In the latest episode of Jaya Bachchan’s granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda’s podcast, What The Hell Navya, the doting granny shared that Amitabh Bachchan goes upstairs and acts strange whenever her seven best friends visit her at home. She quipped:
"Your nana is like, he is the grumpiest. He will say 'I have to go up, excuse me ladies. If you don't mind' and something something. Actually they are quite happy that he is not there."
In the same conversation, Jaya Bachchan said that her friends had known Amitabh for ages, but now he has grown old and behaves like a grumpy old man. In addition, Jaya said that she is calm and can have a friendly conversation with an 18-year-old as well. In her words:
"Not conscious. They have known him for ages, but he has changed now. He is old also. You know you can be old old, and you can be old but not old. I am not (an old old person). I can sit and have a conversation with an 18-year-old."

Earlier, in an episode of Navya Naveli Nanda's podcast, What The Hell Navya, she had featured her journalist-mother, Shweta Bachchan Nanda and her grandmother, Jaya Bachchan. During the episode, the host, Navya had revealed that her nani, Jaya Bachchan is the first person whom she updates about her life. Adding to this, she even said that everyone in the Bachchan family takes Jaya Bachchan's opinion seriously. Navya could be quoted as saying:
"You are like the glue of the family. Everyone takes your opinion very seriously."
