On March 31, 2023, two mega events happened in the country. On one side, the Indian Premier League kick-started with a huge roar at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Arijit Singh, Rashmika Mandanna, Tamannaah Bhatia, and many more set the stage on fire with their performances. A cracking opening match between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans followed the opening ceremony.
The other event that grabbed headlines was the launch of the Nita Ambani Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), whose grand opening took place in Mumbai. From A-list Bollywood celebrities to Hollywood superstars, Tom Holland and Zendaya also arrived in the city for the big event that is going to go on for the next three days. Among all the celebrities, Indian bowler, Jasprit Bumrah also attended the event with his glamourous wife, Sanjana Ganesan. The couple looked stunning on the night. While Bumrah looked hot in an all-black outfit, Sanjana looked pretty in a lovely yellow-hued chikankari saree.

As soon as the video of Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan posing for the paparazzi stationed at the NMACC event went on social media, several people started mocking the cricketer. The netizens slammed the cricketer for attending events and not playing IPL (Indian Premier League) or for the national team due to his injury. One user trolled the bowler for his lack of commitment and commented, "Abey injury ka bahana maar ke tu yaha masti kar rha hai....#aamchimumbai". Another furious user advised Bumrah to announce his retirement if he is no longer interested in playing cricket and hiding behind his little injuries. The comment can be read as:
"Bhaiya aaj ya toh khelo India ke leye ya retirement announce kardo. Yaha logo ke hands tak fracture hojate hain. Aap ki thodi si injury mein itna rest le liya."
The five-time IPL champions, Mumbai Indians (MI) are all set to take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their opening fixture of this year’s IPL (Indian Premier League). However, with the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, all the hopes are now on Jofra Archer. There’s no denying the fact that the void created by Bumrah’s absence in MI’s lineup would be extremely difficult to fill, but to have a bowler like Jofra can surely minimise the damage.

For the unversed, Jasprit Bumrah got married to the love of his life, Sanjana Ganesan, in March 2021. It was on March 15, 2021, when he had dropped the first pictures from their hush-hush wedding, leaving everyone in awe of their beautiful wedding setup. Jasprit and Sanjana opted for pink colour-coordinated ensembles, while the groom opted for a pastel pink sherwani, a doshala and a turban. It was Sanjana, who stole our hearts with her pink-hued lehenga with floral work. Since their wedding, the much-in-love couple never skips a chance to make people drool over their chemistry.
