Every now and then, Bigg Boss 12 is getting entertaining not only on-screen, but also whatever cooks up in the outside world. This season kick-started with the concept of singles versus vichitra jodis, and bhajan maestro, Anup Jalota ji appeared with his student-turned-girlfriend, Jasleen Matharu. On the premiere of the show, the couple made their three-year-long secret relationship official. In the last week’s double eviction episode, Anup ji got eliminated from the race and after his exit, he gave some shocking statements wherein he even went to say that their relationship was all cooked up.
Jasleen’s game is still on and she is inside the house but was unaware of what all Anup ji said after his eviction until ex-Bigg Boss contestant, Shilpa Shinde told her. Well, for the ones who don’t know, the last episode of Bigg Boss 12 (which got aired on October 30, 2018), witnessed the comeback of Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta as guests, wherein they participated in a task. Alongside this, since Shilpa and Vikas are outsiders and they have seen the housemates on the show, everyone was curious to know their reviews and what all is showing on the television. Amongst all what they told, Shilpa revealed Jasleen about Anup ji’s shocking and bold statements. Shilpa was seen telling Jasleen that Anup ji has called their relationship scripted and only musical one. This left Jasleen puzzled for the entire task as this was stuck in mind.
In a conversation with Sreesanth and Shivashish, Jasleen was quoted as saying, “Anup ji ne bahar jake ye interview mein bola hai ki humara sirf musical rishta hai – mera aur Anup ji ka. Mujhe puchna hai yaar. Mera mind actually yar thora us taraf chala gaya hai. This is wrong. Mere dimaag mein wahi chal ra hai. Aise kaise bol sakte hain. Haina ye galat hai na.” At this point, Shiv interrupts and said, “Kya pata unhe stragtegy bana ke bheja ho.” Then Jasleen said, “Nai nai nai. Koi strategy nahi hogi (pointing it to Shilpa). For the ones who don’t know, after his exit from the show, Anup ji had stated, “Kesar Ji and I had discussed that we would enter in as a guru - shishya Jodi. On stage, Jasleen said we were a couple. She was locked in six days before me. I had no time to react. I thought it might be a strategy and decided to play along. I can act a bit (laughs uproariously). I have told Kesar Matharu if he will let me do Jasleen's Kanyadaan as and when she gets married. He said we will do her Kanyadaaan together."
And when he was asked as to share whom he met straight after his eviction, Anup Jalota remarked, “Post my exit, I went straight to visit my mom, who is 85 years ago. The first thing she asked me is who is Jasleen. I told her that she is a ghost and there was nothing of that sort." Anup also stated that the entire ‘couple thing’ was a TRP-grossing measure by the show’s team and channel. He revealed, “Upon entering the house, I stressed upon the fact that she was my student. Whenever questions on our relationship popped up, I always said that we were good friends. However, at no point during the show, we held each other’s hands."
And when in an interaction with SpotboyE, he was asked if he felt bad leaving Jasleen inside the house, Anup ji retorted, “Not at all. I was mentally prepared that I want to be part of the show for 2-3 weeks. When I got evicted you must have seen that despite having a choice, I nominated myself and kept her safe. Also, Anup ji stated that Jasleen used his popularity to gain fame. He was quoted as saying, “She wanted to ride on my popularity--- which she did. I am a very positive person and I feel if I can help someone, I should.” Sharing about the break-up and what all he did after Jasleen didn’t give up on her makeup and clothes, Anup ji said, “I wasn’t hurt. The reaction you saw on TV was just acting. None of the TV actors in the house could guess that I was acting. Mujhe bilkul bura nahi laga ki unhone kapde aur make-up nahi diya because bura to tab lagega jab koi rishta ho. But maine socha usko jhatka dete hai. Being a teacher I wanted to teach her that materialistic commodities are not as important as the person. She cried a lot after that.”
