Just before stepping into the world of Bollywood, Janhvi Kapoor had faced the shock of her life. In a horrific incident, Janhvi had lost her mother, late Sridevi ji. It was a difficult situation for her, but the entire family had stood by her and supported her. Janhvi had made her debut with the movie, Dhadak alongside, Ishaan Khatter and rumours about the duo dating have started doing rounds. Recently, Janhvi Kapoor was in the States and she has been sharing surreal pictures from her trip. Today (November 28, 2019), Janhvi took to her Insta stories and shared pictures from the trip and more than the picture, it was her company and the caption that grabbed our attention. In the pictures, Janhvi can be seen spending a great time with her rumoured boyfriend. And before you jump to any conclusion, it is not Ishaan Khatter. Janhvi can be seen posing with Akshat Rajan and she wrote, ‘Home’ atop the pictures.
As per the rumours, Janhvi Kapoor and Akshat Rajan were dating each other before she had started having feelings for her co-star, Ishaan Khatter. But in an interview with the Famously Filmfare, Janhvi had talked about the rumours for her and Akshat’s dating and had said, “The rumour mongers have also said that I am dating my childhood best friend called Akshat, who’s so scared to hang out with me now because he is too scared that we will be papped together. So that day, he came home for dad’s birthday and there were paps downstairs at Arjun bhaiyya‘s house, and he was hiding in a khopcha, put on a hoodie and all, and left. I was like, it’s okay." On Janhvi Kapoor’s 21st birthday, Akshat Rajan had taken to his Instagram profile to wish his bestie and posted a picture of the two with the caption, “Happy birthday.” But what caught everyone’s attention was Janhvi’s reply to this post. Janhvi commented on the picture, “ILY”, which is an abbreviation for 'I Love You'. Akshat has always been very close to Janhvi and her family and is often seen with them. Knowing each other for quite some time now, their relationship eventually progressed, and the rumours started that Janhvi and Akshat are dating. Akshat had earlier shared a collage of some crazy pictures with Janhvi on his Instagram, and had captioned it, “Here's to another year with you #myeverything.”
In an interview with the Filmfare, Janhvi Kapoor had talked about her mother, late Sridevi ji’s reaction to her dating and boyfriends. She had revealed, "Mom and dad were very dramatic about it (dating). (They would say) ‘when you like a guy, come to us and we’ll get you married.’ And I’m like what!? You know we don’t have to get married to every guy we like. Like we can be chill also." And when Janhvi would ask Sridevi to be chill, Sridevi would be like, "Like chill, what does chill mean?"
In an interview with a leading portal, Late Sridevi ji had talked about Janhvi’s decision of entering Bollywood and her dating rumours. she had shared, “She wanted to do the film and initially, I wasn’t in favour. I don’t think it’s a bad industry. I am a creation of this world. But, as a parent, it would give me greater joy to see her married. But her happiness matters more, and if she does well as an actress, I will be a proud mother. It's very important to me that young girls understand that the end goal of their life is not to have babies and they have every right to make something of themselves. What I meant to say initially was that I would prefer if my daughters didn't lead the kind of hectic life that comes with this business and instead, have a relatively stable and relaxing life. But they are ambitious, and I have come to respect that like every parent should, and that respect overshadows my protective parental instincts now." Saying that her daughters are her priority, Sridevi remarked, "Nothing is more important than your children."
