Sridevi and Boney Kapoor tied the nuptial knot on June 2, 1996, and were blessed with two angels, Janhvi Kapoor on March 6, 1997, and Khushi Kapoor on November 5, 2000. And just like Sridevi, her daughters too turned up to be divas like her! Unfortunately, the legendary actress left this world on February 24, 2018. Sridevi was not only the backbone of Boney, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor, but she was also the reason behind their smile. Janhvi Kapoor penned down an emotional tribute to her mother, Sridevi Kapoor.

Janhvi believed that Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s jodi is a match made in heaven. Sridevi created a niche for herself in the industry and she was a perfect in all her roles, as an actress, as a wife and as a Mom. While Janhvi was prepping up for her big Bollywood debut, Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter, her mother was in seventh heaven to watch her daughter reigning the silver screen just like her. But destiny had different plans for them, and Sridevi couldn’t live to watch her daughter’s debut. But Janhvi being a strong woman, wants to make her mother proud of her. Janhvi wrote:
“Your whole life you kept giving, and all I wanted was to do that for you too, Mumma. I want to make you so proud. Every morning, all that I would do was with the hope that one day you’d be as proud of me as I was of you. But I promise I’ll wake up every day still with that same thought. Because you’re here and I can feel you.”
With the same charisma, poise and finesse, Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor is the spitting image of her mother. And their pictures are a testimony to it! While talking about her daughters, Khushi and Janhvi, Sridevi said in an interview:
“Jhanvi, I feel is more like me - absolutely obedient. Both my children are extremely attached to us. Jhanvi seeks more attention from me while Khushi can manage things on her own. Though Jhanvi's grown up now, sometimes I still have to feed her. She won't eat properly at certain times, so I have to make sure that she eats properly. Sometimes she tells me to put her to sleep so all these nakhras she does. Khushi has always been a very independent person right since childhood.”
Sridevi’s advice for Janhvi’s big debut in the film industry was:
“Like any other mother, whether they come to this profession or not you just ask them to do the right things. To work hard and give their best, hard work always pays, so I tell them all these kinds of things.”

According to SpotboyE, Janhvi wrote a heart-warming note for Sridevi years back, which stated:
“Dear Mom, growing up hearing about your aura, dedication, sincerity and inspirational grit to be the best and achieve the most always made me wish I was present to witness it all. Through all that you have done in your life, you have made me the proudest daughter in the world, and I love you the most. Your daughter, Janhvi.”
Janhvi is a carbon copy of her beloved mother and even her fashion inspiration came from Sridevi only.
