On February 24, 2018, when the nation had woken up to the shocking news of Sridevi’s death, her daughters Janhvi and Khushi were the worst affected. The sudden death of her mother had a very huge impact on Janhvi, whose debut film was about to hit the theatres. It was at that time when Janhvi Kapoor had shown immense strength and had stood like a pillar of strength for her sister, Khushi Kapoor, and father, Boney Kapoor.
On June 6, 2020, Janhvi Kapoor took to her Instagram handle and shared a beautiful picture of herself. She captioned the picture as “Here’s looking at you, kid.” Her picture received a lot of applause as many of her fans dropped heart emoticons. Her favourite designer and family friend, Manish Malhotra also dropped an array of hearts. But the one comment which caught our attention was from her BFF, Tanisha who wrote, “Who’s kid????? We used to spend a lot of time in our home in Chennai, and she used to put mogras all over our house and in her hair, so it smells like her." Janvhi, who had made her big Bollywood debut in 2018, after the death of her mother, has often spoken about the void she feels in her heart. In an interview with Famously Filmfare, the millennial influencer had opened about the pain of losing her mother. She had stated, “I think, I was still in that state of shock, to be very honest. I think I am still in shock. None of it has been processed. Like, I have no memory of three or four months.”
Janhvi shares an amazing bond with her sister, Khushi and she often shares glimpses of the same on her social media handle. Due to the widespread of Coronavirus, Khushi, who was studying at the New York Film Academy had come back to her home since the shutdown of all academic institutions. On April 1, 2020, Janhvi had taken to her Instagram stories and had shared an adorable picture with Khushi. In the picture, Janhvi was seen sitting on Khushi’s lap and giving a tight hug to her. Along with the picture, Janhvi had written, “She loves having me around." The picture spoke volumes about their sibling bond.
