While gossipmongers and media mills are sure 'something is brewing' between the two, Janhvi and Ishaan firmly maintained their 'just friends' stance. Recently, Janhvi wore the chef's hat and cooked a delicious dish for Ishaan and his family.
On October 13, 2019, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor hosted a potluck party and Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor joined them. Mira took to her Instagram handle and shared an Instagram story from the get-together. She posted a mouthwatering picture of the feast and didn't forget to appreciate Janhvi's veg biryani. Last year, in an interview with a leading magazine, Ishaan had revealed about his equation with Janhvi, and had stated, “It's going to be a lifelong friendship. It felt like being on set with your best friend. Touchwood! There was a lovely energy on the set during the making of the film. We've just been honest and straight up with each other. We've been passionate about our work. Also, we've been able to share our feelings and our vulnerabilities.”
Janhvi had also cleared the air surrounding their friendship in an interview with the Hindustan Times. Janhvi had shared, “Till now, he is the only person I have worked with, and it was easy to team up with him because I think we get along really well. Also, as an actor, I am in awe of him and the way he approaches his scenes. Plus, he has great energy (as an actor), and it is probably because he is new too.
