With the untimely demise of her mother, Sridevi, and her upcoming big Bollywood debut, Dhadak, her fans are now more curious to know about the personal life of Janhvi. Janhvi is rumoured to be dating her childhood friend, Akshat Ranjan. On her 21st birthday, Akshat took to his Instagram profile to wish his bestie and posted a picture of the two with the caption, “Happy birthday”. But what caught everyone’s attention was Janhvi’s reply to this post. Janhvi commented on the picture, “ILY”, which is an abbreviation for 'I Love You'.
Akshat has always been very close to Janhvi and her family and is often seen with them at movie screenings, dinner outings, family functions. Knowing each other for quite some time now, their relationship eventually progressed and the rumours say that Janhvi and Akshat are dating. Akshat has also been a great support for his dear friend, Janhvi and sharing a picture of dancing with the legendary actress, Sridevi, Akshat captioned the picture, “A legacy of love and laughter”. Akshat is also a close friend of Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda. Akshat and Navya studied in London together, and that is how they know each other so well. The pictures of Akshat and Janhvi are enough to tell the tale of their relationship.
There were also rumours of Akshat getting upset with Janhvi’s linkup and proximity to her co-star Ishaan Khattar. While Janhvi is prepping up for her debut film Dhadak, her rumoured beau is studying at Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. Sridevi, in an earlier interview, talked about Janhvi’s marriage. She was quoted as saying, “She wanted to do the film and initially, I wasn’t in favour. I don’t think it’s a bad industry. I am a creation of this world. But, as a parent, it would give me greater joy to see her married. Sridevi also said, "It's very important to me that young girls understand that the end goal of their life is not to have babies and they have every right to make something of themselves. What I meant to say initially was that I would prefer if my daughters didn't lead the kind of hectic life that comes with this business and instead, have a relatively stable and relaxing life. But they are ambitious, and I have come to respect that like every parent should, and that respect overshadows my protective parental instincts now." Saying that her daughters are her priority, Sridevi remarked, "Nothing is more important than your children."
Whether they are dating or not is still a mystery, but Janhvi and Akshat’s friendship is definitely one of a kind!
