Pashmina Roshan opens up about her battle with depression

Pashmina revealed to ANI that initially, she was very sceptical about whether she would be a good actress. So, for her higher studies, she decided to opt for a marketing course and even applied to different universities. However, she didn't feel right after everything was finalised and her visa was done. While her friends would party, she would sleep and rethink her life choices. In Pashmina's words:

"In the initial years, I was very confused if I can be a good actor or not. Though, I did theatres in school but I was not sure. So, I had applied to different universities in the UK for marketing. I got my visa, rooms were booked and it was summer holiday. I was very depressed. All my friends would go for parties and they would do everything. I used to just sleep in the afternoon."

Pashmina did not feel artistically satisfied in marketing and was sure that it was not her calling, so she decided to follow her dreams. She did a photoshoot and shared the pictures with her father and uncle, who told her that there was something in her, but it needed polishing. So, she did back-to-back acting and dance classes to polish her craft. Pashmina added:

"I wasn't artistically satisfied in marketing, I don't think I was good enough, good for it. Since then I took a photo shoot actually to see what was in me. I showed it to my father and uncle, and they said yes, there is something in everyone, but you have to polish it. From that time, I did back to back acting and dance classes. I learned Bharatanatyam and other dance forms. I started giving back-to-back auditions."

However, the path wasn't easy, and Pashmina faced several rejections. But she did not to give up on her dreams and kept on trying. Finally, she got the opportunity to be a part of Ishq Vishk Rebuound, for which she is eternally thankful. In her words:

"After a lot of rejections, after continuously evaluating myself and taking feedback from family, after many years, I got this opportunity and this film. And I am very grateful for that."
