There is no way you'd have missed it but still; Nita and Mukesh Ambani announced the December wedding of their daughter, Isha Ambani with her fiancé, Anand Piramal, son of Swati and Ajay Piramal. Isha and Anand got engaged at the beautiful Lake Como in Italy in September 2018. The pre-wedding festivities will begin in Udaipur on the weekend, December 8-9, 2018. It’s been a string of wedding season, and with two weddings down, we are still left with the grandest of all, Isha and Anand’s wedding. The grand finale of the shaadi ka season will be held at Antilia, Mumbai when Isha Ambani will marry the love of her life, Anand Piramal. Isha and Anand along with the entire Ambani clan graced Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas’ sangeet ceremony and Christian wedding, and Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh’s Mumbai reception.
According to the latest update on Isha Ambani’s wedding, she will have something common with her BFF Priyanka’s wedding and also, Anushka Sharma’s wedding. Can you guess what? Anushka Sharma tied the knot with Virat Kohli on December 11, 2018, and Priyanka Chopra became Mrs Jonas on December 1, 2018, after she exchanged wedding vows with Nick Jonas. The man behind the dreamy supercalifragilisticexpialidocious photographs of these two weddings is Joseph Radhik.
Looks like Isha was impressed by Joseph so much that she has hired the photographer for her own wedding too. Joseph recently took to Instagram to announce the news with a picture of Priyanka and Isha, from the former's sangeet ceremony. He captioned the pic as, "That moment when the Sangeet wraps up and evverryyyone gets on stage! Also, one of those happy moments when you see two Stories brides on stage!"
Also, according to the reports, close to 200 chartered planes are scheduled to land and take off from the Udaipur airport over the course of this week, courtesy the Ambani wedding and Rajasthan elections. It will be the last lap of the campaigning for the Rajasthan Assembly Elections (Rajasthan votes on December 7) and the state will see many politicians flocking to its key cities.
Apart from the flights, the Ambanis and Piramals have booked all the five-star hotels in the city for their guests. Over a thousand luxurious cars have been booked to pick up and drop their guests from the airport to the venue, including Jaguars, Porches, Mercedes, Audis and BMWs. On October 30, 2018, an official statement from the Ambanis and Piramals confirmed Isha and Anand’s wedding. The same could be read as, “We are delighted to share that the marriage of Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal will take place in the residence of Shri Mukesh Ambani and Smt. Nita Ambani in Mumbai with family members and close friends on 12th December, 2018. The ceremonies will be performed in accordance with Indian traditions, customs and culture.”
The statement further stated, “During the weekend prior to the wedding, the Ambani and Piramal families will host their friends and family in Udaipur, where they are partnering with artisans and craftsmen to integrate local culture and traditions into the festivities. As per a DNA report, Isha and Anand’s pre-wedding ceremonies in Udaipur are being planned by an event management company and they are managing to create a water world built on pontoons and boats. The plan involves setting up a massive pontoon on one of the ghats of Lake Pichola. According to the report, a source was quoted as saying, “They have requested one at the Udai Vilas Ghat that can accommodate 1,000 guests at a time.”
The source further revealed that multiple flat-bottomed boats will also float on the lake, which will hold a huge idol of the Ambani’s revered deity, Lord Shrinathji. The source shared, “The family has requested a floral set up on the vessel holding the idol of Shrinathji. Dancers will perform on the floating stage, in keeping with Indian customs and traditions.
