But when one is born into the world of entertainment, the peripheral shine of nepotism is bound to rub off on them. Aamir Khan and his first wife, Reena Datta’s daughter, Ira Khan has already made her debut in the entertainment world but not in front of camera. In 2019, she had made her directorial debut with a theatre production, Euripides' Medea. The play was an adaptation of Euripides' Greek tragedy, Medea and starred her brother, Junaid Khan and actress, Hazel Keech. Announcing the same on her IG handle, Ira had written, “Euripiedes' Medea. My first play. My first properly professional endeavour. I can't wait for everyone to watch it! Come and hopefully you will walk out feeling what only a great work of storytelling can make you feel.”
But looks like Ira Khan has found an alternative career option as she ticked off another goal from her bucket list. At first, Ira had teased her fans to guess her new skill by sharing a picture of herself, which she had captioned as "#guesswhat #firsttime #newskill." Then, the budding filmmaker, Ira revealed in her next post that she thinks she now has an ‘alternative career’ as a tattoo artist. Sharing the glimpse of her first ever tattoo, Ira wrote, “Bucket list item #5: Done. I JUST DID MY FIRST TATTOO! ME. Thanks @nupur_shikhare for trusting me and @ironbuzztattoos for making it possible. Not bad, right? I think I have an alternate career. #firsttime #tattoo #inker #inktober #artist #bucketlist #levelunlocked.” On the post, her proud mother, Reena Datta commented, “Good job”.
Adulthood is hard but the milestones you achieve make it all worth. Aamir Khan's daughter, Ira Khan had made him proud when she had moved into her new home in the first week of July. Ira Khan gives a glimpse of her WFH space in her new house and with nine pictures, she perfectly explained the mood cycle while working from home. On Koffee With Karan, Aamir Khan had revealed that his children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan are inclined towards a career in Bollywood. However, the doting daddy had clarified that though he will back their decision to follow their dreams, he will not create opportunities for them if they are not deserving. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Ira had revealed that she has no interest in working in front of the camera as she believes that she is more comfortable working behind-the-camera. Ira had said, "I've always felt more comfortable and enthusiastic about working off-stage or behind the camera rather than being in front of it. I've never felt the inclination to act except if it were in an action film, so I get to learn all the cool stunts. Then again, I can just learn how to do the stunts without a film to work on."
