However, not many people are aware that Neha Kakkar has suffered from depression and other mental health problems in her life. Time and again, we have seen her highlight the importance of having good mental health. But once again, the singing sensation can be seen in tears while talking about it in the promo of Indian Idol 12's upcoming episode. Scroll down to know it all!
In the upcoming episode of the popular singing reality show, Indian Idol 12, we are going to witness a special segment dedicated to the real superheroes in everyone's life, the mothers. A promo of the show has made its way online, in which we can see one of the contestants of the show named, Anushka singing the iconic song, Luka Chuppi from Rang De Basanti. After the beautiful performance, Anushka talked about her mental health issues that brought tears in show's judge, Neha Kakkar's eyes, and the popular singer heaped immense praises on her for opening up about her anxiety issues. But everyone got stunned when Neha revealed she has also faced mental health problems in the past despite having a supportive family and perfect career. Neha stated that it's high time we should start taking mental illness as serious as any other life-threatening diseases.
Going further in her statement, Neha Kakkar also revealed that she is suffering from thyroid for a very long time, and when her mental health had started going bad, it was thyroid that had made it worse. She said, "Though I have everything, a nice family and career but my bodily issues always disturbed me a lot and because of which, I used to face anxiety." In the end, Neha hailed Anushka for making her parents proud by achieving so much and having the courage to speak about her mental health. This isn't the first time Neha Kakkar has talked about her mental health problems, as earlier after her breakup with her ex-boyfriend, Himansh Kohli, in 2019, Neha had revealed that she was suffering from depression. The actress had shared multiple notes on her Instagram stories in which she had revealed that her haters had succeeded in damaging her mental health. One of her heartbreaking notes could be read as, "Yes, I am in depression. Thanks to all the negative people in the world. You're successful in giving me the worst days of my life. Congratulations, you're successful!" And that was shortly followed by another Instagram story wherein she had justified her previous one.
