It was an utter shock when the two ended their 13 long years of marriage. Nonetheless, today, they are setting an example as to how can exes be friends with each other, and co-parent their kids. Sharing the reason behind their divorce, Sussanne in a 2016 interview had stated, "We had reached a stage in our lives where I decided that it is better, we weren't together. It was important to be aware of and not be in a false relationship. We are close (friends)."
And when asked if their separation has affected their kids, she had quipped, "We do chat a lot even though we don't hang out together anymore. But above all, we are very committed to our children. We are respectful towards each other. When children are involved, it's important to put our differences aside and protect them." Sharing about her life as a single parent to Hrehaan and Hridhaan, the pretty mommy had shared, "My mum (Zarine) and sisters (Farah Khan Ali and Simone Arora) have been key players in my life and more importantly my careers.” Adding further, Sussanne was quoted as saying, “Also, my boys give me all the inspiration I'll ever need. You have to let kids be kids.
