As much as 2016 saw a string of beautiful celeb weddings, the year had also seen the worst number of celeb breakup news. The latest celebrity who is legally separating from his wife is Aap Kaa Surroor hit maker Himesh Reshammiya. The Bollywood music director-turned-actor has filed for divorce according to many reports.
Himesh, who got married in his early 20s, has decided to end his 22-year-old marriage with wife Komal. Himesh and his wife Komal have a son named Swayam. The estranged couple who had been living separately for quite a few months was seen at a family court in Bandra, after which speculations of the couple’s legal separation began.

Himesh came forward and confirmed the separation news with a daily, he said:
“Sometimes in life, mutual respect becomes the most important, and giving due respect to our relationship, Komal and I have amicably decided to part ways...“

Talking about how both the families have reacted after their divorce decision, Himesh said:
"There is no problem whatsoever with this decision among us and our family as every member respects it. Yet, Komal is and will always remain a part of our family and I will always be a part of her family.”
Though the news of Himesh and Komal’s divorce is quite saddening, but we are glad that both of them are managing it gracefully and still respect each other and are planning to co-parent their son.
After Himesh spoke about his divorce, his estranged wife Komal also came forward and gave her side of the story. While speaking to a leading daily, she said:
“Himesh and I completely respect each other and are jointly going ahead with this decision to part ways, but mutual respect will always be there between us as I am a part of his family and will always be, and the same stands for him towards my family."

Almost a decade ago, Himesh was in news for his alleged affair with a TV actress named Sonia Kapoor. We don’t know if this has anything to do with HImesh’s divorce from Komal or not.
On the professional front, Himesh recently launched his new album titled Aap Se Mausiiquii featuring a song by Salman Khan's alleged girlfriend, Iulia Vantur.
