The handsome hunk of Indian television and everyone’s beloved Gautam Rode is now taken. Gautam married his longtime girlfriend, Pankhuri Awasthy in a private destination wedding on February 5, 2018. The wedding festivities kicked off from February 4 and continued for 2 days.
The newly-weds hosted their wedding functions at Tijara Fort Palace, one of the picturesque fort palaces in the Alwar town. The pictures of their pre-wedding functions mehendi, sangeet and haldi, and wedding were a treat to our eyes. But now, Gautam and Pankhuri have delighted their fans with the teasers of their haldi and wedding ceremonies.
Earlier the lovebirds shared the glimpse of their sangeet and mehendi ceremonies, which showed the draamebaaz side of the couple. Now, they have shared the haldi teaser on their Instagram page, to which Gautam captioned, “The auspicious ritual in the Shades of Sunshine”. And Pankhuri captioned it, “Laughter, Giggles, Pomp and the auspicious colour of the Sun and Fire for our Haldi Ceremony. That’s how we began. Suryaputra Karn and Agnisuta Draupadi!”
They also shared the wedding teaser on their Instagram accounts. Gautam captioned the video, “And all along I believed, I would find you. Time has brought your heart to me, I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more”. And Pankhuri captioned it, “The smile on your face lets me know that you need me. There’s a truth in your eyes saying you’ll never leave me. The touch of your hand says you’ll catch me wherever I fall. You say it best, when you say nothing at all @rodegautam Thank you @knottingbells for this beautiful video. @pawanandpranav for designing our dream outfits for the most special day of our life, and @jaipur_jewels for the most beautiful wedding jewellery.” The wedding teaser has a background music of Ek Dil Ek Jaan from the film Padmaavat.
The couple also shared another picture of them, in which Gautam can’t take his eyes off his lady-love. He captioned the picture, "A love that grows stronger with each passing day. Hand in hand. Together. Forever". The groom can be seen all suited up in the black, while his bride looks like a dream in a white bridal gown. We can’t stop admiring these two! Pankhuri too shared a picture of them in the same outfits, and captioned it, “The concise account of my whole wide world!!” Post their wedding the couple flew to Golden Temple, Amritsar to seek blessings from God.
Gautam and Pankhuri met on the sets of Suryaputra Karn, and despite the huge age gap of 12 years, the couple clicked off. From being co-stars to friends and finally Mr and Mrs, the much-in-love couple managed to keep their relationship a secret for a long time. The couple got engaged around Diwali 2017, and Gautam revealed to a leading daily that he is lucky to have found a life partner like Pankhuri. He further said that their wavelength is same, and she fits into his family perfectly. While Pankhuri stated that their families have wholeheartedly accepted and welcomed their union. She has found the answer to all her dreams in Gautam.
