On December 19, 2020, Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar had shared a cutesy video of their love story on their IG handles. The animated caricature video of their love story had narrated how the lockdown had worked as Cupid for them as that was the time when a chance encounter had started their 'happily-ever-after' story. As Gauahar Khan turned 38 on August 23, 2021, her husband, Zaid Darbar shared a series of pictures from her white-and-gold themed birthday. It was his caption that gave their fans an insight into why Gauahar’s birthday calls for double celebrations. Zaid shared that it was on Gauahar’s birthday when he had proposed her. He wrote, “This day will always be special! It was the day I proposed my wife and it’s been a year since she said yes. She is the strongest and has the best soul, Happiest birthday to this lovely person. I love you @gauaharkhan. Happy Birthday to my jaanu again!”
On August 23, 2020, when Gauahar Khan had turned 37, her then-alleged beau, Zaid Darbar had arranged for a grand party. From balloons and flowers to cake, from penning a beautiful birthday wish to twinning in blue, Zaid had outdone himself for Gauahar's birthday.
