Losing a parent can never ever be easy. It is like losing your roots and your support system. It is like you are left in an open ground for a battle with no shield. Bollywood actress, Gauahar Khan is going through the same ordeal, as her father, Zafar Ahmed Khan had passed away on March 5, 2021. Mr Khan had fought for his life in the hospital for quite a few days. Gauahar and her husband, Zaid Darbar had done everything in their power to safeguard him, however, when it is the call from God, no one can actually do anything.

After her father's death, the doting daughter, Gauahar Khan had penned a eulogy for him. She had written, "My Hero. No man like u, Ever! My father has passed, to the ever after as an Angel. Alhamdulillah. His passing away was a testament to his beautiful life n the best soul he was. Forever My Pappa. I love you oh so much. I am sooooo much of you Pappa. N yet can never ever be even a percent of your magnanimous personality. #MyForeverShiningStar Keep him in your prayers please. innal lillahee wainna ilayhi raajeeoon."
It’s been 2 months that Gauahar Khan has been dealing with this irreparable loss of her father and every month, the 5th brings back a lot of memories. On May 5, 2021, Gauahar Khan remembered her father, late Zafar Ahmed Khan and posted his smiling picture on her IG handle. Sharing the picture, Gauahar mentioned that she misses her father with every breath she takes and her emotional post was enough to make everyone teary-eyed. She wrote, “That smile #2monthsToday. I Miss u with every breath I take Pappa. #MyHero #BestFatherEver #ZafarAhmedKhan.”
A day after her father’s demise, on March 6, 2021, Gauahar Khan had taken to her IG handle and had shared a soulful video from her nikaah, where her father could be seen praying for her. Sharing the emotional video, Gauahar had called her father the 'real star' and had written, "My Father My Pride ! Zafar Ahmed Khan you are the real STAR. My pappa praying for me at my Nikah ( my most fave memory of my life ) #Alhamdulillah. @harpreetbachher, thank you so much for giving me this special gift today ! Love you ! @theweddingstory_official."

It was on March 3, 2021, when Gauahar Khan had posted a throwback picture from her wedding, with her father. The picture had beautifully captured the emotional moment shared between Gauahar and her father. Gauahar had captioned her post with her ‘strongest Pappa’ as “A fathers kiss. #Blessing. Zafar Ahmed Khan, I love you soooooooooo much. #MyPappaStrongest.” In the next post, Gauahar had shared a lovely family picture from her wedding with her parents and husband, Zaid Darbar in the frame. Captioning the post, Gauahar had written a song from the film, Hum, “Ek doosre se karte hain pyaar hum #Alhamdulillah #GAZAbkahaiDin.”
Gauahar Khan’s sisters, Kausar Suleman Khan and Zakia Z Khan, had also penned eulogies for their late father on their IG stories. Sharing a picture of her Pappa, Zakia had written, “Innalilahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun, Alhamdulilah my blessed father zafar ahmed khan has returned to his creator! Rabbir hamhuma kama rabbayani sageerah.. Aameen yar abb” and “I love you Pappa so much that it hurts” atop her stories. Kausar had written, “Papa you showed to the world that Allah loved him with his final journey! You lived like a king & left this world like an angel! Those who are loved by him! Shine like a star in both the worlds! “Indeed we belong to Allah, & indeed to him we will return”.”
