The year 2020 had not just given a global pandemic but we were also blessed with some lovely couples. Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar are one such couple, who had embarked their beautiful journey of ‘happily ever after’. It was on November 5, 2020, when Gauahar Khan had confirmed her relationship with music composer, Ismail Darbar’s son, Zaid Darbar. On December 25, 2020, Gauahar Khan had happily said Qubool Hai to the love of her life, Zaid Darbar. For her nikaah, Gauahar had looked gorgeous in an ivory sharara and double dupatta. She had accentuated her look with a statement neckpiece, a maang teeka and a passa. On the other hand, Zaid had complemented her in an ivory sherwani. One look at their dreamy wedding pictures makes us believe that the two are meant for each other.
Soon after the wedding, Gauahar Khan had switched her work mode on and had gone to complete her pending assignments. However, it seems that now she is all set to spend time with her shauhar, Zaid as the couple jetted off to Udaipur for a vacation. A few hours back, Zaid took to his IG handle and shared love-filled pictures with his wifey, Gauahar. Curled up in each other’s arms, Zaid and Gauahar looked adorable. He captioned the pictures as “Finally our time #Udaipur” followed by a heart emoticon. He also shared a picture with Gauahar on his IG story, where the two were seen having their breakfast while having a happy moment. Atop the picture, he wrote, “Breakfast with my lady.”
In an interaction with Pinkvilla, Gauahar Khan had talked about her upcoming web series, Tandav. Talking about how her married life really has not changed anything for her, Gauahar Khan had said, "It's actually more like a... it's the opposite because I have been shooting right from the very next day of my walima and it doesn't stop. Every day, I was shooting till eight o'clock in the morning and in the day, there are interviews. Yes, he's asleep and I'm disturbing him. But it's not changed me at all. In fact, he allows me to be who I am so, I don't think that changes the person that I am at all. Whether married or not." Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar have become a social media sensation in a short time owing to the cute and adorable moments they share. On January 12, 2020, Gauahar had shared a video of Zaid dropping her to the jetty boat on her IG stories as she had resumed work. The actress had captured Zaid's video standing on the dock and waving out to her, donning a black tee and track pants. Atop it, the actress had written, "Guess who came to drop me even to the jetty today @zaiddarbar u the best."
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Gauahar Khan had revealed that within a month of knowing Zaid, the two had decided to get engaged. In her words, “I was averse to the idea of being with anyone when I met him. Yet, I felt this was something different because I had never met someone like him. I felt this is my kind of human being. He is like me in many ways in thoughts, behaviour, history and characteristics. So, I knew we would have a great friendship. We didn’t have a courtship. I met him, we hit it off and he didn’t think he would propose to someone, marriage was not on his mind. When he asked me, it wasn’t planned. It was in a flow and after meeting me, in literally over a month, he proposed to me.
