Two years after welcoming her first child, Freida Pinto opened up about her postpartum journey post delivering her son, Rumi-Ray. She shared a video on her IG handle on May 23, 2023, wherein she was seen revealing her postpartum depression in a chat with Catt Sadler. The video began with Freida opening up about crying a lot after the birth of her baby boy. Then, elaborating more on how her husband encourage her to seek help from a therapist, she said:
"I remember crying so much and feeling so alone and my parents had just about left to fly back to India and my husband was like you need to start seeing a therapist. The things you were saying and the things you are doing it is also feeling very self-sabotaging."

Further, in the same video, Freida revealed how she was constantly dealing with anxiety after giving birth to her son. She mentioned the sleepless nights, and many more hiccups that she had to deal with during the initial days after her son's birth. However, she feels grateful to come out of the terrible experience and added:
"You need the sleep but you are sitting up trying to fix things and plan things. It was my anxiety that was really getting the better of me, which by the way, is so normal. And the fact that I can say today it is so normal. It was horrible, but I'm happy I went through that because I can relate better. If my entire journey was without any hiccups, then I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you about my postpartum journey."
Freida took to her IG handle and shared the video with a caption by mentioning how she talked on big topics like postpartum, marriage and career during her chat on the show. In the video, the actress was wearing a orange T-shirt paired with denim pants. In addition, she opted for subtle makeup and open tresses. Frieda's caption can be read as:
"I had a very candid conversation with @iamcattsadler about one of the most meaningful chapters of my life. We covered big topics surrounding my postpartum journey, marriage and career on her podcast 'It Sure Is A Beautiful Day'."

Soon after welcoming their son, Rumi-Ray on November 22, 2021, Freida shared beautiful glimpses of her baby boy along with her husband, Cory. In the first picture, Frieda and Cory's little one was seen sleeping on his daddy's chest. And in the following picture, Freida could be seen hugging her baby boy. However, the little one’s face was covered with a sticker. Along with the pictures, Freida had penned the sweetest birthday wish for her husband, Cory and mentioned how he gives his sleep deprived wife a break. For which, she is exceptionally grateful and in love with him.
