Bollywood's power couple, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar had left everyone's jaws dropped by tying the knot in a beautiful Christian ceremony at their family home in Khandala. The madly-in-love couple had made sure to keep their personal life private and not reveal the details of their love story. However, things have changed as for the first time Farhan and Shibani talked about their beautiful love story.
On February 19, 2022, Shibani and Farhan had taken their vows and had said 'I Do' to each other. For the ceremony, Shibani had worn a beautiful red-hued fish-cut dress, which was custom-designed by the designer label, Jade by Monica and Karishma. It was made from French Chantilly lace and was hand-embroidered by their master artisans. On the other hand, Farhan had opted for a black-hued tuxedo.

Recently, in an interview with Elle India, Farhan and Shibani talked about how they had fallen in love. Farhan revealed that they had first met on a television show, that he was hosting and Shibani was one of the contestants. The couple didn't had a chance to know each other, but once the show was over, they stayed connected on Twitter and Instagram. To this, Shibani joked and added:
"Yeah, he just slipped into my DMs."
Talking about their first date, Shibani called it awkward. She recalled that Farhan had asked her out for a coffee and she had felt strange as they had not formed a friendship. However, Shibani had agreed as he seemed like a nice guy. They had a breakfast date at 10:30 followed by an awkward movie night date. She shared:
"We’ve met at a restaurant in Bandra at 10:30 am for breakfast. I didn’t know what to make out of this…was it really a date? Or not? Like who asks someone out in the morning? But nevertheless, we go, we have coffee, and there’s just pin drop silence throughout the breakfast."

Talking about the movie date, Shibani shared that it was another fail as they watched the movie in silence and had their dinner. By the end of the night, she had made up her mind and thought of not giving any more chances. She said:
"For the movie date, I went prepared with points that we could talk about. But guess what, we watched the movie and ate dinner in silence (again). It’s not as if we didn’t talk at all but there was something missing. The whole evening didn’t seem easy, organic or free-flowing. I eventually left from his house thinking he’s a nice guy and I did the right thing by giving it a shot again but I don’t think this is working and it’s time to say bye-bye"
For the unversed, Farhan was earlier married to celebrity hairstylist, Adhuna Bhabhani. They had parted ways after sixteen years of marriage and are co-parenting their two daughters, Shakya and Akira.
