Actress, Esha Deol is one such mother, who dotes on her little girls, Radhya and Miraya. Veteran actors, Hema Malini and Dharmendra’s daughter, Esha Deol had gotten married to the love of her life, Bharat Takhtani on June 29, 2012. In October 2017, Esha and Bharat had embraced parenthood for the first time and had welcomed an angel, whom they had named Radhya. In June 2019, Esha and Bharat had become parents for the second time with the birth of their daughter, Miraya. And since then, the beautiful couple is cherishing every moment of their parenthood.
Esha Deol is quite active on social media and never misses an opportunity to treat her fans with glimpses of her family. On December 1, 2020, Esha took to her IG handle and shared a picture of her precious moment. Sharing glimpses of her angels, Radhya and Miraya’s hands and feet impressions, Esha wrote, “Preserving the feel of our babies tiny hands & feet is something beautiful for every parent to do and look back to as the babies grow up!”
After Radhya and Miraya’s birth, Esha Deol had bounced back to acting and had wooed everyone with her stellar performance in Ram Kamal Mukherjee’s 26-minute Hindi film, Cakewalk. Esha had won the Best Actress Award at the MTV IWMBUZZ Digital Awards and Society Iconic Indian Award for the same and had credited her daughters. In an interview with the IWMbuzz, she had stated that her daughters had completely changed her outlook and she would cherish each and every moment spent with them. In a throwback interview with The Telegraph, Esha had shared that motherhood has brought many changes into her. She had said, "Yes, it has. A new chapter in my life has just started and I am enjoying every bit of it. I am a hands-on mother. Though I am in Calcutta today, my phone has a camera where I can keep an eye on her all the time. I am that kind of person, whether it’s with my husband or my child. I enjoy being a housewife. I like the whole ‘khana khaya ki nahin? Kya khaya aaj?’ routine (laughs). Motherhood has given me a new sense of confidence."
Some time back, Esha had graced her close friend, Simone Khambatta’s YouTube chat show, Mama Says and had opened up about her postpartum depression. Sharing her experience with the same, Esha had stated, “When I had Radhya, there was no postpartum depression, nothing. People used to look at me and ask ‘Tu theek hai na?’ And I used to wonder why are they asking like this, I mean yeah main theek hoon. But after my second delivery, I didn’t know what it was. I didn’t experience so I didn’t know. And right after delivery, I didn’t know what was going on as I was in a room filled with people and suddenly, I felt like crying. I sat quietly and very dull, low.
