Ekta Kapoor who is the daughter of the famous actor, Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor, is an Indian television producer, film producer and director. She has a number of Hindi cinemas and soap operas to her name and is a joint managing director and creative head of Balaji Telefilms Limited. She had also launched the Alt Balaji in 2017 to her credit. Ekta had welcomed her son, Ravie Kapoor in 2019 through surrogacy.
As the ace director turns 46 on June 7, 2021, her brother, Tusshar Kapoor took to his IG handle to share a video that comprises pictures of the brother-sister duo from their childhood to the present day. Not only Tusshar Kapoor, Ekta's very close friend and actress, Anita Hassanandani also took to her Instagram handle to pour birthday wishes for her with a picture. Alongside the picture Anita wrote, "I always make it a point to wish you sharp @ midnight cos I want to be the first to wish you...Being a new mom I doubt I will be awake then so I’m posting and wishing you before time...That way I’ll maintain being the first one to wish you. cos you are the FIRST MOST important person in my life and the only one I love as much as my family... maybe even more cos You are FAMILY. Besides Anita, her co-star from Yeh Hain Mohabbatein, Karan Patel also took to his IG handle to post a picture and wish the director on her birthday. While birthday wishes are pouring in from family and friends in the television fraternity, Ekta took to her IG stories to share a glimpse of her birthday from what seems to be her hotel room. The director shared a video of the decorated room along with the birthday cake and captioned it as "all alone in."
