Do you remember the contestants of the initial seasons of the singing reality show, Indian Idol? For some, the show had changed their future and made them stars overnight. One such fortunate singing star is Rahul Vaidya, who was the second runner-up on Indian Idol 1 and since then, he had contributed to the singing industry with some beautiful tracks in the films, Shaadi No. 1, Jaan-E-Mann, Race 2, Ishkq in Paris and a lot more. For the past few months, Rahul has been in the headlines, not just for his participation in the fourteenth season of television’s most controversial reality show, Bigg Boss, but also for his love life with Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara fame, Disha Parmar.

Apparently, Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar had started chatting in mid-2018 after an interaction on Instagram when she complimented him for his song on the social media platform. Rahul, in aww of Disha’s beauty, texted her on Instagram and soon, friendship blossomed between the two. In Disha’s words, when Rahul entered the Bigg Boss house, they were ‘good friends’. It was on Disha’s birthday in November when Rahul had proposed to her on national television as he was inside the Bigg Boss house, where he had realised his feelings for her. Now, in the next few months, Rahul and Disha will be pronounced husband and wife, and will step into the next phase of their relationship, i.e., marriage.
After Rahul Vaidya came out of the Bigg Boss house as the runner-up, his and his fiancée, Disha Parmar’s social media feeds are filled with mushy pictures of the couple. Rahul and Disha are painting the town of Instagram red with their love and netizens are in aww of the lovebirds. Recently, Disha and Rahul attended his friend’s wedding and a while ago, she posted a picture with him on her social media handle from the ceremony. While Rahul looked dapper in a navy blue coloured kurta, Disha looked like sunshine in her yellow skirt and crop top, and together the couple made heads turn with their vibrant picture. Disha captioned the post as “Blessing your feed with a picture of two cuties!! @rahulvaidyarkv @israniphotography.”
On International Women’s Day 2021, Rahul Vaidya had posted a picture with his aai, his sister, Shruti Vaidya and his soon-to-be wife, Disha Parmar. Penning a beautiful note for three pillars of his life, Rahul had written, “To the three pillars in my life... Aai, thank you for always supporting me through all the ups and downs. Shruti, thank you for always letting me trouble you since we were kids but tu jaanti hai ki usmein hi mera pyaar hai. Disha, life has been so beautiful since we met. Thank you for being there. Happy women’s day to you three and all you beautiful & powerful women out there. Dhanya Dhanya Naari Jeevan Auron ko hi tu arpan…”

To mark Valentine’s Day 2021, Disha Parmar had posted a mushy picture with the love of her life, Rahul Vaidya, who was inside the Bigg Boss house at that time. Sharing a selfie, in which he could be seen giving a sweet peck of love on her cheeks, Disha had captioned the post as “Because this day deserves a Cute Mushy picture! To my Valentine @rahulvaidyarkv Ps- this is my most favourite picture of us!” When Rahul returned to Disha after being announced the runner-up of Bigg Boss 14, she had posted two pictures with him from the ‘welcome home’ celebrations. She had captioned them as “My (trophy emoji) is Home! @rahulvaidyarkv.”
In an interview with The Times of India, when Rahul Vaidya was asked what he loves about Disha Parmar, he had retorted, “Iske chehre par bohot shaanti hai. I have never heard her speak ill about anyone, including people she may not like. This quality of hers amazes me. She is simple and extremely beautiful. I realised my love for her quite late, but people around us always wished for us to be together.” When Disha was asked what attracts her the most to Rahul, she had replied, “Kya chahiye, kya nahi chahiye, kya karna hai kya nahi karna hai — he is clear about everything in life. He is honest and romantic, and that’s amazing. I’m sure that he is going to be a great husband.”
