Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim’s love story is nothing less than a fairytale. They had met on the sets of their show, Sasural Simar Ka and had become good friends. Their friendship had eventually turned into a love story as the two had fallen head-over-heels in love with one another. It was on February 22, 2018, when Dipika had added Ibrahim to her name after their nikaah. Since then, the couple has been treating their fans with their adorable pictures and videos. From celebrating birthdays to festivals, Dipika and Shoaib never leave an opportunity to shower love on one another.
Shoaib and Dipika have collaborated once again for a romantic music video, Yaar Dua and the head-over-heels in love couple looked nothing less than a dream in the teaser of the song. In an interview with The Times of India, Dipika and Shoaib talked about their much-awaited comeback with Yaar Dua after Sasural Simar Ka. Talking about the same, Dipika said, “We did get a few offers in the last few years, but they weren’t meaty enough, both of us are choosy, so we didn’t want to do just anything. I felt that this song, Yaar Dua by Mamta Sharma, was the right choice for us to make a comeback.” Revealing the difference while working with Dipika in SSK and Yaar Dua, Shoaib stated, “When we shot for SSK, we were getting to know each other and had to rehearse a lot. But while shooting for this music video, it was effortless. Our chemistry hasn’t changed over the years because it stems from a strong bond.”
Shoaib also talked about the constant trolling on his family and how he deals with them. Addressing the same, he said, “I have always believed that after God, if anyone is important, it is my family. So, if they are not okay, then I make it a point to protect them. I have never paid any heed to negativity on social media, but if it goes beyond a limit, I try and give a befitting answer. Having said that, I do feel that there is a lot of goodness around, and most people are supportive and positive. Both Dipika and I are responsible and mature people, who handle such things quite well.”
Some days back, Shoaib Ibrahim had taken to his IG handle and had indulged in an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session. During the session, a fan had asked him, which on-screen character ‘Simar or Sonakshi’ played by Dipika is his favourite and his reply had won our hearts. On January 1, 2021, Shoaib had taken to his IG stories and had hosted an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session with his fans. When one of his fans had showed his interest in marrying his wife, Dipika and had told him, “Ask Dipika to marry me”, Shoaib’s reply had won our hearts. Being his savage self, Shoaib had written, “Bhai is janam mein to meri ho chuki hai…agar next birth hota hai toh kuch achche karam karna tab Dipika jaisi inshallah koi mil jaayegi kyuki Dipika to tab bhi meri hi hogi.” Shoaib’s reply had proved how doting a husband he is!
In an interview with the Indian Express, Shoaib was asked to choose from 'Dipika as friend', 'Dipika as girlfriend', or 'Dipika as wife'. Dipika had also warned her husband saying, “In me se select karna hai. Idhar diplomacy nahi chalegi”. After which, the doting hubby had said, “Dipika as Wife”. Further on being asked to describe their love story in one sentence, Dipika had remarked, “Your belief in each other can conquer the world."
