Bollywood diva, Dia Mirza had tied the knot with her longtime beau, Vaibhav Rekhi, on February 15, 2021. The newlywed couple had their honeymoon in the Maldives when the actress had announced her pregnancy news flaunting her baby bump. And, on May 14, 2021, Dia and Vaibhav were blessed with a baby boy and had stepped into the parenthood league.
For the unversed, Dia had to go through an emergency C-section to save the little one from any further complications. Dia had got a sudden appendectomy and a very severe bacterial infection during her pregnancy which could have led to sepsis if the doctors didn't tend her at the right time. Dia had taken to her IG handle and had described everything in her post while welcoming her little munchkin, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi. An excerpt of the caption of her post could be read as:
"As we watch this tiny being, this Zen master in awe and wonder, we learn from him, in all humility, the true meaning of trusting the universe and of parenthood. And to not be afraid, and so we humbly take the lead from his resilience and courage. We do not have enough words to thank all those who continue to help us live this story of hope and faith and create a safe, healing, nurturing space for Avyaan and I. He will be home soon and his elder sister Samaira and grandparents are waiting to hold him in their arms."

On February 6, 2022, Dia Mirza spent a lovely evening with her son, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi and her husband, Vaibhav Rekhi in their private garden. She shared a few glimpses from the same on her IG stories. In the pictures, Dia looked stunning as ever in a beige-coloured maxi dress, and Avyaan was dressed in a romper. Atop one of the pictures, she wrote, "Just. Nothing else. This is everything."
A few hours back, the actress took to her social media handle to post an array of pictures from their beautiful stroll in the garden. Atop it, she wrote a heartmelting caption, thanking her husband, Vaibhav Rekhi for clicking the pictures:
"In the end, we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand and we will understand only what we are taught.” -Baba Dioum. Learning about the wonders of the natural world with you Avyaan Azaad."

On January 28, 2022, Dia Mirza had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a beautiful note, in which she had opened up about her experience of embracing motherhood. The doting mother had also shared some beautiful pictures from the time when she was 4-months-pregnant, that were clicked by her husband, Vaibhav Rekhi. She penned:
"Becoming a mother is the best gift nature gave me. Every moment has been filled with light and joy! From the time i first discovered i was pregnant, to every single moment since… natures force has revealed itself to me in the most magical ways. And no, it wasn't easy going through the trauma of a extremely premature delivery and subsequent complications. But, the faith that you chose me Avyaan Azaad to be your mother was unshakable even when we went through our challenges. Thank you for choosing me my precious. Thank you for holding on so strong.
