Dia Mirza became a mother on May 14, 2021, as she gave birth to her son, Avyaan Azaad Rekhi after a sudden appendectomy during her pregnancy. The actress had tied the knot with her businessman boyfriend, Vaibhav Rekhi on February 15, 2021. Well, for Vaibhav it is his second child as he is already blessed with a baby girl, Samaira Rekhi, who is no less than a best friend to Dia.
When Dia Mirza had walked down the aisle to start her happy journey with Vaibhav Rekhi, it was her step-daughter, who had led her path. Dia had looked royal in her red Banarasi saree by Raw Mango with a choker set, jhumki, maang teeka, green Maharashtrian bangles and gajra accentuating her look. It was Vaibhav’s daughter, Samaira, who was leading her towards the mandap, holding a “Papa’s Girls” placard, establishing the fact that they share a great bond.

A few hours back, Dia Mirza shared an adorable video with her step-daughter, Samaira, showcasing that not all step-mothers are bad. In the video, Dia and Samaira can be seen twinning from head to toe as the two opted for a similar tie-dye t-shirt, distressed denim and white sneakers. The two nailed the ‘Iko Iko’ trend on Instagram as they grooved to the song by Justin Wellington. Calling Samaira her best friend, Dia captioned the video as “Sunday Shenanigans with #MyBestie #SundayFunday.”
In April 2021, when Vaibhav Rekhi and Sunaina Rekhi's daughter, Samaira Rekhi had turned a year older, the ex-couple had come together to celebrate the occasion. Dia Mirza had joined Vaibhav and Sunaina as they had happily celebrated Samaira's birthday. Sunaina had shared a video of the cake-cutting ceremony and Dia had made an appearance for only a few seconds in the end. Sunaina had captioned the video as "Family @samairarekhi @diamirzaofficial @vaibh_r @anuradha_medhora." Dia had commented with a red heart emoji on the video.

When Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi had gone for a mini-honeymoon to the Maldives in March 2021, Samaira had accompanied them. Dia had shared a few breathtaking pictures from their getaway on her IG handle, and in one of the pictures, she had posed with Samaira as the two had looked beautiful together. She had captioned the pictures as “Cast Away’ let’s play. Our #JAMoment on a secluded island in the sun! What fun." She had also mentioned that the pictures were clicked by her husband, Vaibhav and had added, “Photos by Him (Getting better)."
Dia had again shared pictures from her Maldives getaway with her husband, Vaibhav and step-daughter, Samaira. The happiness on their faces was quite evident through pictures. Dia had posted a couple of 'special memories' she had made with Vaibhav and Samaira on their vacation and had captioned it as "We made some really special memories in the Maldives.
