Being a mother is the toughest and thankless job. A mother works round the clock to ensure that her child is hale and healthy. She makes sure that her child gets everything he or she needs, even if for that she has to cut down on her needs. She will always save the last piece of cake for her child, despite her love for cakes. Mothers are like this, and thus they are called the version of god. There are already millions of challenges a mother faces while giving birth and nurturing a child, now, there are some added challenges for the new mommies as Coronavirus knocks our door. Deeya Chopra Mehta had welcomed her second child during these testing times, and now her daughter has turned 1 month old. Deeya Chopra Mehta and her London based businessman husband, Ritchie Mehta had embraced parenthood for the first time, welcoming a baby boy, Evaan in April 2019. It was on April 8, 2020, that Deeya had taken to her Instagram handle to announce the arrival of her cute little doll. Sharing a picture of pink background with a pram, baby shoes and a teddy on the side, Deeya had announced, “Evaan is delighted to announce the safe arrival of his darling sister Sophia Mehta on the 6th of April 2020 in New Delhi! Proud parents Deeya & Ritchie Mehta, Ecstatic grandparents, Manju & Ravi Chopra, Eileen & Neville Mehta. Overjoyed family – Roshni & Siddharth Kumar, Robin Mehta, Jaivir & Reyaan.” Deeya had captioned it, “Welcome lil angel... you have completed our family” followed by a heart.
On May 6, 2020, Deeya’s little princess has completed her 1 month, blessing the lives of her family and elated mother could not stop, but share a cutesy picture with her baby. Taking to her Instagram handle, Deeya shared a picture, where she can be seen cuddling and holding her daughter closest to her. Both mom and baby looked beautiful as the baby chose to sleep in her mother’s arms. Along with the beautiful picture, Deeya wrote, “Happy one month ! My daughter my best friend.” followed by two heart emoticons. Have a look at the picture below.
Deeya also took to her Instagram stories to share a boomerang video and a picture. In the boomerang video, we can see the baby bed filled with polka dot balloons, and the picture is from the day her baby daughter was born. In the picture, Deeya’s husband, Ritchie can be seen holding on to their newborn, while the mommy leans on her husband’s shoulder, however, the baby’s face is not clearly visible. Deeya Chopra Mehta gave the first glimpse of her baby girl, Sophia Mehta on April 14, 2020. Deeya had posted a picture of ‘her whole world in her hands’ as she had held her baby’s tiny feet with her hands in a heart-shaped frame. On April 17, 2020, Deeya had shared a family picture, narrating how she feels anxious and over-protective for her baby because of the COVID-19 outbreak. She had also talked about her daughter’s birth during such time will be a great story to share with her baby, Sofia. Posting the picture, she had written, “The reality of taking a family photo... everyone looking in different directions. Having a baby in these covid times hasnt been easy and everything from going to hospital to bringing baby home makes me feel anxious and over protective because who knows where all this virus lingers.... the silver lining though is the whole country is in a post partum phase of 40 days so i guess im not alone... what a story to tell this lil girl of the times she was born in!
