She had made her acting debut in 2006 in the Kannada film, Aishwarya. She had gotten her biggest break with Farah Khan’s, Om Shanti Om in 2007 opposite Shah Rukh Khan. The stunning actress had broken million hearts when she had decided to tie the knot with the love of her life, Ranveer Singh. Ever since the two first appeared in the movie, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram - Leela, there were rumours about a possible spark between the two. While the two had kept denying the rumours of dating each other, we prayed the rumours to be true. And our prayers were answered soon. Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone had tied the knot on November 14-15, 2018 in both Sindhi and Konkani rituals. On January 8, 2021, Deepika Padukone took to her IG stories and started ‘post a picture’ session with her fan. When a fan asked her to post a picture of people closest to her, the actress posted pictures of her hubby, Ranveer Singh and her sister, Anisha Padukone. The adorable throwback pictures posted by Deepika made our hearts skip a beat.
Ranveer wears his heart on his sleeves for his ladylove, Deepika. He is not just a humble actor but an ideal husband, who has always supported his wife throughout the highs and lows in her career. In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Deepika had revealed that Ranveer is quite confident about himself which is one of the major reasons why he doesn’t mind if his wife overshadows him. She had also revealed how she used to be anxious during her long shooting hours for Chhapaak and whether Ranveer would be upset about her coming home late. She had revealed, “I’d have a long day but I didn’t feel anxious about whether he would be upset about me coming home late or because I hadn’t called. I have been in relationships where I didn’t have that. When you don’t have to worry about such things, it allows you to focus on work.”
Deepika is quite close to her sister, Anisha. Anisha had talked about their equation in an interview with The Economic Times and had stated, “We have a five-year age gap, so she is both like a friend and a mother to me. She is very protective of me, like a typical big sister. Though we are close, we only get to meet once every two-three months because of our schedules and how much we travel. Though we don't discuss our work much, I'm a big critic when it comes to her films. I watch all of them and from her initial days, I would tell her what I liked and what I didn't.”
In an old interview of Deepika with Vogue in which she had bared the secrets about her childhood and her equation with her sister, Anisha Padukone. She had said, "My sister Anisha and I shared a room. We used to sit on that sofa you see in the picture and play ‘house’ for hours. We also had several posters of Leonardo DiCaprio on the wall and made it a point to kiss him goodnight every night before going to sleep."
