And that is how we had already pictured Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh on our mind even before they announced their wedding on social media. Time passes by in the blink of an eye and all we do is sit back and wonder, “Wow, that catapulted fast!” Speaking of which makes us want to tell you how beautifully, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh successfully completed one year of their marriage on November 14, 2019. We still remember the day when, exactly a year back, the nation went crazy to see Deepika and Ranveer looked at their wedding and trust us you, it all looks like it happened yesterday! Hence, taking you on a flashback mode, checkout two different pictures from their dual wedding- a Konkani and a Sindhi one.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh marked the completion of one year of their marital bliss by resorting to spirituality. While yesterday was all about their Tirupati visit (the details of the same we will share in the later paragraphs to come), today was about a holy visit to Amritsar’s Golden Temple. Donned in Sabyasachi Mukherjee ensembles, Deepika looked gorgeous in a burgundy salwar with dhoti pants, heavy choker and her sindoor-smeared forehead was a major show-stealer. Ranveer, on the other hand, had donned a floral plum-coloured kurta and bandhgala. But the catch here is, Deepika recycled her Amritsar-visit salwar as she had worn the same piece for one of her pre-wedding functions. How cool is that! Here’s a glimpse:
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh began their anniversary celebrations by visiting the Tirupati temple. Deepika looked beautiful in a red and golden Kanjeevaram saree and heavy gold jewellery. Ranveer too looked dapper in a beige bandhgala and a silk angavastram (red and golden shawl over his shoulder). Donning Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s apparels, the ace designer had posted a heartfelt anniversary wish for the two lovebirds and had written, “Deepika Padukone @deepikapadukone and Ranveer Singh @ranveersingh in a Sabyasachi Benarasi sari and a Kurta churidaar Nehru jacket set at the Venkateswara Temple, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. Deepika Padukone posted one of the pictures from her official Instagram handle, sharing with their fans how they celebrated the second day of their one-year anniversary. She had penned, “As we celebrate our first wedding anniversary, we seek blessings at Harmandir Sahib. Thank You all for your love, prayers and good wishes! @ranveersingh.” On the other hand, Ranveer Singh also shared the same picture and wrote, “Overcome with sheer gratitude. @deepikapadukone.”
Sharing an ethereal picture from the first celebrations from their wedding anniversary at Tirupati temple, Deepika Padukone had written, “As we celebrate our first wedding anniversary, we seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. Thank You all for your love, prayers and good wishes! @ranveersingh." Ranveer Singh also shared the same picture and had written, "Our first wedding anniversary. Feeling truly blessed. Thank you all for your Love @deepikapadukone."
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh had gotten married last year (November 14-15, 2018) at Villa del Balbianello, an exotic villa overlooking Lake Como. If you are a Hollywood movie buff, you must have had multiple glimpses of the place as a wide array of famous Hollywood movies has been shot there namely, A Month by the Lake (1995), His Demise, Casino Royale (2006) and also Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones (2002). In an interview with the Filmfare, Deepika Padukone had poured her heart out and spoke about having a permanent roommate in the form of hubby, Ranveer Singh and had stated, “It’s beautiful living together. I’m sure cynics will say you’ve just gotten married to him, wait for 15 years or 25 years. We’ll figure it out then. For now, it’s the best feeling in the world. I looked forward to living together because I moved out of home at a young age to start working. A lot of my friends used to say we can’t wait to get out of our house. I was the opposite. I got out young. I craved for my family. When we were dating, it was about spending time with his family or going to Bangalore to be with my parents. I’d crave that quality time where you wake up in the morning and have someone to talk to while you’re having breakfast. And hardly six months into their courtship, Ranveer Singh had known that Deepika Padukone will be the mother of his children! Yes, this is what Ranveer had shared in an interview with the Filmfare, “Six months into the relationship, I knew she was the one. I nurtured the relationship accordingly. It’s been six years now. She’s too good, too lovely. She’s a force of nature. I understood that almost immediately. I’m lucky to have her. I knew all too well that this is the woman I’m going to marry. This is the woman who would become the mother of my children. I’ve been thinking about marriage seriously for almost three years now. I was just waiting, I told her the minute you say so, we’ll do it.”
