On May 24, 2020, footballer, Sunil Chhetri hosted an Instagram live session with Ranveer Singh where they discussed everything from his acting career, his admiration for his wife, Deepika Padukone, and his love for sports. During their interaction, Chhetri teased Ranveer for his badminton skills and often getting beaten up by his wife, Deepika Padukone, who is the daughter of the legendary badminton player, Prakash Padukone. Ranveer accepted it and revealed that he can only manage three points against her in a set. Chhetri also told Ranveer that Deepika had once told him, “He only gets three points because I respect the fact that he is Prakash Padukone’s son-in-law.”
Expressing his sheer shock on this, Ranveer yelled and told Deepika, “Baby! Expose kar rahi hai tu mujhe (You’re exposing me).” During their interaction, Deepika crashed into the live chat a couple of times, expressing her love for Ranveer by saying, “I love you baby” in the comment session. And when the chat was over, she made sure to appreciate them and wrote, “Well played boys.”
During the interaction, Ranveer praised his wife and stated that she is more evolved and mature than him. He also retorted that if it wasn’t for his wife, Deepika, he would have lost his way in the movie business as she is the only one who stands by him and constantly guides him through all ups and downs. He further stated, how he used to woo her and said, “All the young gentlemen who have tuned in to this live chat, yeh hota hai patana (this is how you impress a girl). I knew she loved flowers. Six months into dating I knew she was the one, and I wanted her to be mine for life. On May 24, 2020, Deepika took to her Instagram handle and shared a Boomerang video with Ranveer. In the Boomerang, the gorgeous actress was seen pouring kisses to her hubby’s cheek. Along with the Boomerang, she wrote, “World’s Most Squishable Face!!! #cutie @ranveersingh.”
Ranveer wears his heart on his sleeves for his ladylove, Deepika. He is not just a humble actor but an ideal husband, who has always supported his wife throughout the highs and lows in her career. In an interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Deepika had revealed that Ranveer is quite confident about himself, which is one of the major reasons why he doesn’t mind if his wife overshadows him. She had credited her husband, who is the reason why she believes that good men still exist.
