Mayank is a silent boy from Gurgaon and Hunar is a shy girl from Delhi. Being in the same fraternity for so long, they never met each other. Surprising, no? Both, Hunar and Mayank’s families played the role of Cupid between them. Their respective families thought them to be a perfect match for each other.
Here’s what the actress stated on this note:
"Marriage is also about two families getting along, which is what happened in our case. Jis din roka hua tab bhi hum dono bahut hi casual thay. We weren't prepared for marriage,"
Mayank adds:
"But after the roka, we took our time to get to know each other,"

On being asked about Hunar’s first impression, Mayank jestingly said:
"Mujhe laga dikhne mein thik thak hai. Dekhte hain,"
Hunar, on the other hand, found Mayank to be little khadoos. Here’s what she said:
"I'm very curious and rebellious. Mayank has his reasons about everything he says and does, but won't tell me what those reasons are if I ask him. He'll only tell me when he feels like it. Also, I'm quite talkative, so he listens to me and then cutely asks 'Ab main bolun?' But I love him even when he doesn't listen to me. I don't want a joru ka gulaam. I like his maturity. In fact, he is quite the man I prayed for."
Above everything else, Mayank claims Hunar to be his lady luck:
"After nine years of my career, I am playing the lead in a serial and the TRPs are rising. She got my faith in the Almighty back as well. Yeh jodi rab ne hi banayi hai."

Hunar Hale and Mayank Gandhi got engaged on August 27, 2016. Their engagement ceremony was graced by close family members. In fact, Suniel Shetty also attended their engagement function.

The couple took their wedding vows on August 28, 2016, in a purely Punjabi style. They had a Gurudwara wedding in the capital city, Delhi.
Delhi and NCR is this couple’s home and this is the only reason that they chose the capital city for the celebrations. In fact, in an interview, they said they love hanging out in Cyber Hub, Kingdom of Dreams, CP, Karol Bagh and GK, and above all, they are fond of spending time in Gurudwaras.

On their wedding day, Hunar opted for a pastel green and pink lehenga with a centre slit and flower embroidery. Her look was completed with a maang teeka, beautiful nose pin, chaand bali, chooda and kalire.
While Hunar was looking stunning as a Punjabi bride, Mayank was looking no less than a typical sardaar groom. He was looking dashing and complemented the bride well in a pure white sherwani and pink pagdi.
