Popular actress, Ananya Panday is the daughter of veteran actor, Chunky Panday and celebrity costume designer, Bhavana Pandey. And her proud parents have always been the best cheerleaders for their daughters, Ananya and Rysa Pandey. However, this time around, it is the doting dad who came forward to defend his daughter after she was trolled for donning a see-through dress at Apoorva Mehta's birthday party.
For the unversed, Ananya Panday had made her acting debut on May 10, 2019, with the film, Student Of The Year 2. She had also won the Best Debut (Female) Filmfare Award for her performance in the film, Student Of The Year 2.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Chunky Panday opened up about his reaction to seeing his daughter, Ananya Panday, getting trolled and receiving hate comments for donning a see-through shimmery ensemble at Dharma Productions CEO, Apoorva Mehta's birthday bash. The doting father showed his disappointment over seeing such a reaction from people over her daughter's choice of clothes. However, Chunky strongly condemned the trolling and backlash on social media and clearly stated that his daughter is sensible and always put her best foot forward. He said:
"We, as parents, have never told her what to wear and what not to. We brought up both of our daughters quite well, and they are very sensible. Ananya is in the show business today, and she needs to look glamorous. She should put her best foot forward and dress up."
Going further in the interview, Chunky Panday also called his daughters, Ananya Panday and Rysa Panday, innocent and stated that they could wear any dress in the world without looking vulgar in it. Chunky once again proved that he's a hands-on daddy who never misses a chance to support and vouch for his daughters in their time of need. The doting father also revealed the kind of advice he gives to his daughter whenever she faces online trolling and hate on social media. Chunky stated:
"One thing I know for sure about my girls is that there's a certain kind of innocence in them. I'm sure they can wear anything and carry them off without looking vulgar. I tell Ananya, 'At least people are discussing you, be it good or bad."

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Chunky Panday had shared their thoughts about the kind of person he wants to see his daughter, Ananya Panday with. The proud father had admitted that he had pampered his daughters all his life and had told them to have high standards in life. The veteran actor had also stated that all the credit of him telling his daughters to have a high standard in life is because of his wife, Bhavana. He had explained:
"I feel very bad for the guys because I know my daughters. They are not easy to handle. I have been handling them all my life. I mean, yes. They have to be better than her dad. I have always pampered my girls and always told them to have very, very, very high standards and expect the best. I have learned that from Bhavana. Bhavana has been very important in setting the high standard and setting the bar very high."
On the professional front, Ananya Panday will be next seen in the film, Liger, opposite Vijay Deverakonda.
