The word, 'Cancer', which usually makes a person's life upside down is one of the most dreaded diseases. However, there are a few people, who have made it look like a piece of cake. And television actress, Chhavi Mittal is one of them. From posting a long note on her cancer diagnosis to sharing snippets from her post-surgery days, Chhavi has not only inspired people but also showed her positive attitude towards life.
It was on April 16, 2022, when Chhavi had announced the news of being diagnosed with cancer. However, she didn't let the 'C' word deter her spirit and had undergone breast surgery on April 25, 2022 like a true warrior. Moments before the surgery, Chhavi had posted a picture of herself, flashing her best smile, while holding her hubby, Mohit Hussein's hand and had captioned the picture as:
"It’s time. #breastcancersurgery."

On May 6, Chhavi took to her IG handle and shared a picture with Mohit, hugging him. Along with the picture, she revealed how Mohit reacted when the doctor had told him that one of the side effects of cancer medicines is mood swings. Revealing how he makes things light, Chhavi wrote:
"When the doctor told us after studying the histopathology report, that I have to be on cancer meds for the next 10 years starting today, and that one of the side effects is mood swings.. @mohithussein asked him… “you mean even more??” Everybody laughed heartily…That’s how well he knows me, and that’s how he can make light of things! I can’t love anyone as much as I love you, and noone can love me as much as you do! You never snap (OK rarely), you are patient with me, you are caring, you are undemanding, and you are so large hearted! Like I tell you, what would I do without you!"
Further in her note, Chhavi gave her breast cancer update and shared that she will undergo radiotherapy soon. She also mentioned her painful physiotherapy and wrote:
"For everybody wanting to know the next steps... I was lucky enough to dodge chemotherapy but not as lucky with Radio therapy. That begins in the last week of May. I need to raise my right arm above my head for that and hence the physiotherapy starts today. Its too too painful right now, but I’ll get there soon! #breastcancerupdate."

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Chhavi Mittal had talked about taking her battle positively and had revealed how she had even cracked jokes with the hospital staff. Talking about her emotions, Chhavi had shared:
"I am just the way I am, I am just being myself and not somebody who feels negative emotions. I am generally somebody who is a very positive person in life, that’s the only side I am putting out. It is amazing that people are liking seeing that. Not everybody can face difficulties like I can. Even the people I meet in hospitals, the surgeons and nurses, I crack jokes with everybody."
