Call it laid-back, muted or suave; these are exactly what defined Sagarika Ghatge’s style statement for her wedding in Mumbai with cricketer Zaheer Khan. The style statement was not as per the bridal rulebook, but it was a perfect balance between modernity and Indian sensibilities. In a modest and subtle manner, she stuck to the traditions without being loud.

The classy and totally regal designs and colours were oozing oodles of exuberance throughout the wedding celebrations. In fact, the ‘less is more’ mindset behind her wedding wardrobe is a cue for all Indian brides to look oh-so-gorgeous on their big day. Let’s unfold the royalty and sophistication.
A stunning silky drape is always the pulse of the moment. And this was clearly seen through Sagarika’s ravishing red saree that she was seen wearing for her registered marriage on November 23, 2017. The red Sabyasachi saree with a rich golden border brought a cultural approach to her dressing sense. Sagarika teamed it up with a heavy embroidered blouse for that fashion-forward attitude. She also bloomed up her style with astonishing antique jewellery. The silver jewellery, mangalsutra and the green glass bangles made her appearance eminent and distinguished. Her make up and hairstyle was fuss-free and simple. A neatly-tied low bun and a red bindi was all that she used to style up her bridal look.
If you have a nose for fashion, you just cannot miss her distinctive mint green lehenga that Sagarika donned for her mehendi ceremony. Her make up by Vedhika Ghotge and her jewellery was adding that festive flair to her pre-wedding moments. The bright coloured outfit from the house of designer Anita Dongre was graceful and dreamy. Sagarika followed the minimal attitude with her make up and style as her hair was tied in a simple ponytail. She sported a simple bindi for that easy-on-the-eye look. Well, her bright choker necklace, large earrings and a maang teeka reflected her royal and opulent taste.

To compliment a traditional look, pink is always evergreen and the jazziest. At the after-party on November 23, Sagarika turned the heads with a flattering pink lehenga saree. The festive outfit was imprinted with gotta pattis all over and was a little gaudy as compared to what she wore for her registered marriage. The designer outfit by Faabiiana was overwhelming and a perfect fashion piece as per Sagarika’s style and choice. Her neutral make up and splendid ornaments were doing all the talking for the cameras. Choker necklace, an edgy maang teeka, simple pearl bangles and minimal make up were certainly a superhit for the evening gala. The raani haar was scoring some high points too.
Sagarika picked a striking yet subtle Falguni Shane Peacock ensemble which was grey. The fans loved the elusive, humble and embellished attire. The hot rubies and diamonds were adding much flair and drama to the whole outfit. This fantastic ensemble with an overdose of modesty and ethnicity can be the showstopper at your parties and events as well. Just don’t forget the awe-inspiring jewellery to deck up the classic attire.

Her heavy jewellery and mangalsutra was making the outfit even more glamorous and traditional. Those who are ethnic at heart will admire and embrace the royal style Sagarika flaunted.
Sagarika looked stunning in Anita Dongre red lehenga with heavy golden embroidery at another reception function in Pune.
