Boney Kapoor and Sridevi Kapoor’s younger daughter and Janhvi Kapoor’s sister, Khushi Kapoor’s Bollywood entry has been a matter of much speculation over the last couple of months. While some had said that Khushi will make her big-bang debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan’s dapper son, Aryan Khan, other reports had it that she will be seen opposite, Jaaved Jaaferi’s ‘oh so handsome’ son, Mizaan Jaaferi, mentored by none other than, Karan Johar. But what looks like it, we will have to wait for another two years before we see Khushi polish her skills and make her glittery big-screen appearence.
Yes, as many of you must have already guessed it right, Khushi Kapoor is moving abroad for two years and her dad, Boney Kapoor bid her an emotional adieu. Shutterbugs captured Khushi and Boney (the latter had come to see her off at the airport), talking and smiling as Khushi got all set to soar amidst the clouds of her dream. Khushi looked all geeky as she donned an oversized, baggy tracksuit with glasses on. Khushi's sister, Janhvi, took to Instagram and posted a witty goodbye message for her baby sister. She wrote, "Fur is faux but our love isn’t #prayingfornyc." Along with it, Khushi’s chachi, Maheep Kapoor had written a cheeky goodbye message that for her that could be read as “#OffToCollege #WillMissYou @khushi05k ... Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do #HaveABlast" and Khushi replied back with a "love you", backed by dozens of heart emojis. Her chachu, Sanjay Kapoor too, posted a heartfelt goodbye note for Khushi and wrote, "Will Miss u khushi", and the 18-year-old replied back with an array of heart emojis! Here are the snaps:
Janhvi Kapoor, in a recent interaction with Anaita Shroff Adajania on her chat show, Feet Up with the Stars, had confirmed that her star sister will be joining the New York Film Academy (NYFA) as she has finalised to have a career in acting. Khushi, after putting a lot of thought between going for a career in acting or modelling, has finally figured out her penchant. Her sister, Janhvi had shared, “She is going to NYFA. Then after she comes back, she will figure what she wants to do.” Janhvi and their papa, Boney Kapoor was a bit hesitant of Khushi’s decision to move away from them. The Gunjan Saxena star had stated, “I’m getting palpitations just thinking about Khushi going to... He (Boney) just has to think about it and he’ll start crying.” Hence, it would not be wrong to apprehend that Khushi is leaving Mumbai to pursue her acting course at the NYFA.
In the same interview, Janhvi Kapoor had also gotten all candid about her camaraderie with Khushi Kapoor and had revealed the one thing that they fight about and almost every sister duo will relate to it! Janhvi had shared, “Khushi is righteous and that even for sharing clothes, she is like ‘You can’t take them without asking me. Otherwise, there is no rivalry but this taking each others’ clothes without telling is a big issue. But she is my fashion censor. Remember how a while back, one particular activity of Janhvi had made Khushi ‘hate’ her sister? So, wondering what did she do? Well, for Priyanka Chopra's 'Social For Good' event, the Dhadak star had sported a dress which was stolen by her from her baby sister, Khushi’s wardrobe! Sharing a screenshot of their fun personal chat, Janhvi had written, “When you steal your sister’s clothes hehehe”. Khushi Kapoor’s half-sister, Anshula Kapoor had conducted an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Instagram last year, on September 09, 2018 and had answered an array of questions asked by her followers. One such question which had caught everybody’s attention was when a follower asked Anshula, “Out of you 4 siblings, who is Boney ji’s most favourite?” To which she had replied, “Khushi 100”! Revealing “the secret out” and tagging all her siblings, she had ended her answer with a “No but honestly, he loves us all the same."
During Dhadak promotions, Janhvi Kapoor had spoken about Khushi Kapoor’s career choices and her Bollywood debut. She had said in an interview, “That's for her to answer." During the promotions of her last film, MOM, Sridevi Kapoor was asked about the career choice that her youngest daughter, Khushi Kapoor is willing to make. To which, Sridevi had replied, “Yes, Khushi says she wants to get into modelling. Pehle, she wanted to become a doctor. Phir doctor se lawyer and now it’s modelling. So, I am waiting for the shock to happen.” Only later in 2018, Boney Kapoor had spoken about the career change that Khushi is opting for and had stated, “And Khushi first wanted to become a model – but has now shifted her focus to becoming an actress."
