But some mothers-in-law have also broken the stereotypes and turned out to be with a golden heart. Away from the comfort zone, a bride looks forward to how her relationship with ‘another mother’ would be in her sasural, and lucky are the ones, who adore them in such a way that you don’t get homesick. And in similar lines, Bipasha Basu Singh Grover and her mother-in-law, Deepa Singh redefine saas-bahu goals. It was on April 30, 2016, when Bipasha Basu had added 'Singh Grover' to her surname when she had tied the knot with her ‘monkey’ partner, Karan Singh Grover, and together they had embarked on their ‘happily ever after’ journey as monkey lovers! Not only Bipasha and Karan have been making the most of their married life with each other, but also make sure to spend quality time with their in-laws. Bipasha and Karan share a great camaraderie with each other’s family and looking at their bond, one can easily decipher that they are a one big ‘Hum Saath - Saath Hain’ pariwar.
On September 4, 2019, Karan Singh Grover’s mom, Deepa Singh had turned a year older and her daughter-in-law, Bipasha Basu Singh Grover posted a heartfelt wish for her sasu maa. Bipasha, who couldn’t make it to the birthday celebrations, posted a collage of Karan’s selfies with his mom from the bash, and captioned it, “Happy Birthday Mom. Missed this celebration today... but hoping to see you soon.” Karan too, posted the glimpses from the birthday celebrations and wrote, “Happy happy happy birthday mommy!!! Thank you for being the coolest, calmest most zen mommy in the whole wide world!!! Thank you for always taking care of all of us!” To which, Bipasha commented, “Cuties” followed by heart emojis.
On April 2, 2018, Bipasha Basu Singh Grover had shared pictures with her husband, Karan Singh Grover's parents from their Delhi trip. She had captioned the pictures as, "Loved and overfed by Mom and Dad in Delhi. Thank you. We will miss you." On May 12, 2019, to mark Mother’s Day, Bipasha had posted a picture with Karan and her mother-in-law from the same trip, and had written, “Happy Mother’s Day mom. We miss you lots. Karan Singh Grover also, in interviews, had spoken about the relationship he shares with his wife, Bipasha Basu Singh Grover’s family. Recalling an incident when witnessed an argument between the two Bong beauties, his wife, Bipasha and his mother-in-law, Karan had said, “One day, I saw Bipasha and her mom fighting and it was like this tandaav happening! Her dad and I kept looking at each other. His sarcasm and humour is something else.” Revealing his father-in-law’s sarcasm and humour to the same, Karan had continued, “He told me, ‘Hamara dono biwi na… fire hai! Tum usske saath thoda thanda rehna. Tum water sign na, aag ke upar paani daal dena. No problem.’”
In an interview with News18, Karan Singh Grover had talked about his wife, Bipasha Basu Singh Grover’s big Bengali family and had stated, "I think they really needed me. They needed one person to listen, because everyone always talks at the same time. Everyone talks about different things at the same time. Everyone talks in Bengali obviously, which I know now." He had added, "So I think they had this big need for somebody like me, who listens. Sometime they ask me, why are you not talking? I say you guys need someone to listen because you all talk at the same time. I feel blessed to have been taken in as a part of this family with such wonderful people who make such yummy food."
Karan Singh Grover and Bipasha Basu Singh Grover spend Sundays at her parent’s home and revealing what yummylicious dishes her mom cooks for them, he had stated, "Sundays we spend time with the family. Mom cooks dishes like kosha mangsho, chingri malai curry, or poshto. And doi. I think I was born to eat mishti doi. It's my thing. I can live on it. And kheer kodom also. It's a mouthful of heaven."
On July 9, 2019, Karan Singh Grover had given us a glimpse of his twinning moment with wife, Bipasha Basu Singh Grover and how he cannot stop adoring his ladylove. Dressed in same shades of yellow, Bipasha and Karan, in one frame together, are a treat to the eyes. He had captioned his post as, “Pujo time twinning!! #monkeylove #grateful”. To which, his ladylove had commented, “TUVU” followed by a heart and kiss emoji. Bipasha too, had shared some pictures from the pujo day, and had captioned them as, "Pujo Day Durga Durga #famjam #cutestparentsever #grateful".
