On April 30, 2020, Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover will complete four years of marital bliss and the preparations have already begun in the Basu-Grover household. To mark their fourth anniversary, the doting wife had decided to treat her husband with his favourite besan ke laddoo. Posting an IGTV of the preparation of Karan’s favourite besan ke laddoo, Bipasha wrote, “4th Anniversary (#Monkeyversary) Prep The Making of his favourite Besan Laddoo” followed by a heart emoticon. But it was Mr Grover’s reaction that had made him the winner of the best husband trophy. Bipasha shared Karan’s reaction on her Insta story as he flaunted his wife’s preparation to his friends on a conference video call.
It was on April 30, 2016, when Bipasha Basu had added the surname ‘Singh Grover’ to her name and had tied the knot with her Alone co-star and beau, Karan Singh Grover. For the wedding day, Bipasha had chosen a traditional red Sabyasachi ensemble which she had accentuated with a heavy choker neckpiece, maatha patti, nath and jhumkis. Bipasha’s bridal look was elegance personified and opting for the classic red colour had made it even more drool-worthy and special. In an interview with The Economic Times in 2014, Bipasha had expressed her wish to be dressed as a Bengali bride and had said, "I am from Bengal and when I get married, I will definitely want a traditional Bengali bridal look. I want it to be very extravagant as well." And her dream had finally gotten fulfilled on April 30, 2016! To mark their third anniversary, Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover had posted their #MonkeyWedding video, which had captured the intimacy and warmth in their union and how genuine their smiles were while exchanging wedding vows. Sharing the video, Bipasha had revealed the reason behind her happy face on her wedding and every day since then. She had captioned the video as “I remember each and every person ... people I knew or strangers... everyone post our wedding told me that I looked like the happiest bride ever. The reason for that big smile on my face from that day till now... is You. Can’t believe it’s our 3rd wedding anniversary so fast. Thank you for loving me. You are so so precious to me. Revealing what had Bipasha Basu said when he had proposed her for marriage and thanking her for being there, Karan Singh Grover had captioned the video as “There’s so much to thank you for, don’t know where to begin...I’ll start with saying thank you for saying “OK” when I asked you to marry me, thank you for loving me more and more everyday, thank you for always being my pillar of unwavering strength, thank you for being my best friend, thank you for being that one most brutally honest person in my life (everyone needs that), thank you for having faith in me, thank you for pulling me up every time I’m down, thank you for doing the gazillion things you do for me day in and day out, thank you all the nights you wait up for me, thank you for all the times you wait for me to eat, thank you all the times you wake up early so I can sleep an hour more, thank you for always making sure that I have food and snacks and water every time I step out of the house, thank you for making my life so comfortable, thank you for doing things for me even before I think of them, thank you for managing and organising my life, thank you loving me the way do, thank you for showing me what true love really means, thank you for always wearing a thick hoodie at home even in the summer so that I can be comfortable in our freezing room, thank you for marrying me, thank you for all the other infinite things you do for me...thank you monkey.
