We were eager to once again witness the Bengali cinematic approach, Prerna and Anurag, storyline and the two most important characters, Komolika and Mr Bajaj. And thus, it all happened soon enough! A series of track changes, terrific acting, gigantic sets and every character having their own significance, Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2 is loved by many. After Hina Khan made her entry into the show as Komolika, bang stood Mr Bajaj before Prerna when she was just about to get married to the love of her life, Anurag! But who would bag Mr Bajaj’s pivotal role, didn’t come easy to the makers of the show. After a lot of speculations, it came about that Karan Singh Grover will go on to play the iconic character. And thus, the salt and peppery Mr Bajaj made his stunning appearance on the show.
As per the storyline, Prerna (played by Erica Jennifer Fernandes) is all set to get married to Mr Bajaj (played by Karan Singh Grover). Erica took to Instagram and shared the first-ever glimpse of herself, dressed as Mr Bajaj's (Karan’s on-screen) to-be wife. And her beauty knows no bounds in her bridal avatar! As per a TellyChakkar report, the makers of KZK 2 had decked-up Erica, keeping Karan’s real-life wife, Bipasha Basu’s wedding look in mind. It also came about that it was Bipasha Basu herself, who happily gave Erica personal styling tips to look like a bridal version of herself for her hubby, Karan’s reel-life wedding with Erica! How cool is that!
Coming back to the character, Ronit Roy was Ekta Kapoor’s Mr Bajaj in her previous version of Kasautii Zindagi Ki. About Karan Singh Grover bagging his role for its sequel, Ronit had shared with SpotboyE, “I'm very happy for Karan bagging the role of Bajaj. I think he'll do a great job. My good wishes are with him. May he and kzk2 attain much greater heights of popularity than I did.” He had also added, “People still do call me that. Bipasha Basu became Bipasha Basu Singh Grover on April 30, 2016, after she got married to Karan Singh Grover. Just a month after their wedding, Bipasha and Karan had spoken about their marital life in an interview with the Hindustan Times. Speaking about resistance to their marriage from both the families, the Race actress had shared, “Yes, there was a lot of drama in our lives. A lot was created and a lot existed. We were in love and when our parents saw that we were happy with each other they realised we were right for each other. So, they were happy for us. There was a lot of news, we laughed it off.” While Karan Singh Grover had stated, “Our parents were very supportive. There was no drama”.
Speaking about if hubby, Karan Singh Grover’s third marriage bothered her, Bipasha Basu had stated, “For me, as woman, the connect is more important while the paper (marriage certificate) is important to society. I have had bad relationships and maybe I am one of the lucky ones who didn’t sign a paper (get married) but that doesn’t change things. First, second, third... it’s sad to hear these things. People are so judgmental about a divorcee. It is a social stigma and sad.”
Bipasha Basu had further added, “No one wants a bad relationship, a failed marriage. One shouldn’t live in a sham of a marriage, which many couples do and I have seen such marriages. Today, one can divorce so that you don’t kill your spouse, instead move on and find love and life again. Just because you are married doesn’t mean you stay in a relationship where you are burdened and not loved”. Talking about Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2’s leads, Erica Jennifer Fernandes and Parth Samthaan, the duo is rumoured to be dating each other. A SpotboyE report had once quoted a source saying, “It seems that Erica and Parth are now more than just good friends, say the sources we have parked on the sets of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2.
