The reason behind it was quite emotional as he had made some shocking revelations about his parents' divorce and had revealed how his mother had raised him and had played the role of both parents during his upbringing. In the recent episode of Bigg Boss 14, the seniors of the house, Gauahar Khan, Siddharth Shukla, and Hina Khan had rejected Jaan Kumar Sanu with some other contestants. However, Bigg Boss gave them another chance to stay in the house like freshers all over again but in order to do that, they had to sacrifice something. In Jaan Kumar's case, the seniors had asked him to sacrifice his tresses and get a mohawk haircut. The young singer hadn't hesitated for a second and had gotten a haircut to remain in the house. When ETimes contacted Jaan Kumar's mother, Rita Bhattacharya, and asked about her reaction to the whole scenario, the doting mother accepted that she was a little bit sad when she witnessed that. She said, "Yes, I felt really bad and got emotional when I saw him getting that mohawk haircut because I know how much he loves his hair."
Going further in her interview, Rita ji also revealed how much Jaan Kumar loves his hair and how he used to nurture them like anything. From shampooing them on time to oiling them regularly, it was shocking for her to see her son sacrificing his hair. But at the same time, she was proud too, seeing her son not making a big fuss about the same and showing his passion towards the game. She said, "He loves to oil his hair, shampoo, and he takes care of his hair. He has thick hair. I was shocked when he got that haircut, but then I liked the confidence with which he agreed to do it and not create any hue or cry about it." Recently, in an episode, while speaking to his fellow housemates, Jasmin Bhasin, Sara Gurpal and others, Jaan Kumar Sanu had spoken about his parents' separation and had praised his mother. Jaan had said, "For me, my mother plays the role of both parents. My parents separated when my mother was six months pregnant with me; hence, I have grown up with her only since childhood. My mom is both a mother and a father to me. Before entering the Bigg Boss House, what worried me most was that who will now take care of my mother. My thinking when it comes to love is old school because of my mom, I feel love only happens with one person, and we should only be with one person. I am just like my mother."
