Television actress, Arshi Khan was last year in the headlines after she had escaped a major car accident in Delhi on November 22, 2021. The gorgeous star had suffered some minor injuries and was rushed immediately to a nearby hospital. Although with time, she had recovered quite well from the tragic incident and right now, she is in Dubai, and her social media handles are flooded with pictures of her enjoying the Arabian dreamland.
While Arshi Khan's massive fanbase is enjoying every glimpse of their favourite celebrity enjoying in Dubai, the rumour mill was churning hot-selling reports that the actress is getting engaged in Dubai. However, now in a recent interview, Arshi addressed the same reports and revealed the real reason behind her visit to Dubai.

In an interview with ETimes, Arshi Khan addressed the ongoing speculations about her visit to Dubai, as reports are rife that she is in the Arabian country for her engagement ceremony. The rumours have been floating in the media for some time now. So Arshi came forward to reveal the absolute truth behind them. In her conversation with the news portal, Arshi shared that she is in Dubai for the shooting of her upcoming projects. Refuting all the rumours of her getting engaged in Dubai, the television actress also clarified that she is not in the country for engagement and seeing all these speculations in the media is nothing less than an awkward surprise for her. She explained:
"I was back to back shooting for my films, web shows and music. Since years I wasn't out for holidays so I made plans to visit Dubai in the holy month of Ramadan. But I was taken by surprise when I was asked here about my engagement. I'm not getting engaged here."
This isn't the first time, when talks about Arshi Khan's engagement ceremony are in the media. Last year in an interview with ETimes, Arshi had shared that her family had found a suitable match for her, and he is a cricketer by profession. However, she had sadly confirmed that the two families had called off the engagement after the Taliban took over the country. Reflecting on the same, she had said:
"I was to get engaged in October with an Afghanistan cricketer. He had been chosen by my father. But after the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, we may have to put an end to the relationship."

Going further in the interview, Arshi Khan had talked about the Afghan cricketer with whom she was supposed to get engaged and had revealed that he was her father's friend's son. However, Arshi had clarified that after calling off her engagement with the Afghan man, her family was very much convinced that they would find a suitable Indian boy for her. Reflecting on the roots of her family and why she calls herself more Indian than Afghan, Arshi had shared an anecdote about her family's history. The actress had said:
"He was my father's friend's son. We are also on talking terms and are like friends, but now I'm sure my parents will find me an Indian partner. I'm an Afghani Pathan, and my family belongs to the Yusufzai ethnic group. My grandfather had migrated from Afghanistan and was a jailer in Bhopal. My roots are in Afghanistan, but I am very much an Indian citizen, like my parents and grandparents."
For the unversed, Arshi Khan had participated in the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 11 and had reentered as a challenger in BB14. And it was during her second stint in the show that she had grabbed everyone's attention.
