Bhagyashree reveals she couldn't multi-task after Abhimanyu Dassani's birth and left her career

In a recent chat with Radio Nasha, Bhagyashree opened up about why she left her acting career and gave time to her family. The actress said she was too young when she married and gave birth to their first child just the following year. Thus, Bhagyashree couldn't multi-task and felt like she wasn't capable enough to balance her home life with her work life. She said:

“A child requires their mother more than anything else at that point of time and I’m not saying that the mothers who work, they are not looking after their kids. But I was too young at the time and in my opinion, I did not have the capability where I could look after myself, look after my family, also look after the kids. I had just gotten married. Abhimanyu was born just a year after that. I think I was too young to handle all these responsibilities together.”

Bhagyashree on having no guilt for leaving behind her career for her family

At the end of the conversation, Bhagyashree mentioned that from time immemorial, women tend to feel guilt about leaving behind one thing over other. However, she does not regret spending time with her children, rather being on the sets. Bhagyashree stated:

“Today, people spend time at their work and then they feel guilty about leaving their children at home. Women who leave work and spend time with their kids, they have guilt about leaving their work, or not being able to progress ahead in life. I am saying I prioritised my life because those were my priorities. So, I don’t have guilt at all of spending my time with my children.”
