Bigg Boss and Splitsvilla fame TV celebrities, Divya Agarwal, Priyank Sharma and Benafsha Soonawalla’s triangle is the most complicated and controversial trio on social media these days. Breakups, mud-slinging and open letters define these three. Let’s give you the context first. Priyank Sharma was head-over-heels in love with Divya Agarwal whom he met in Splitsvilla 10. Priyank then entered Bigg Boss 11 and got involved with Benafsha Soonawalla, and that also led to his break up with Divya. Reportedly, Benafsha was dating Varun Sood then. Now, post-Bigg Boss 11 and with the advent of Vikas Gupta’s show, Ace of Space, things have been spiralling down. Divya blamed Priyank and Varun blamed Benafsha for breaking up, cheating with them and emotionally making them a wreck. Open letters and WhatsApp chats were revealed, and now SpotboyE has contacted Benafsha’s mother.
The media portal asked Benafsha’s mother if Divya’s family has ever contacted her. They also asked her to comment on the post shared by Divya’s family that cautioned against her daughter being in contact with someone she should not be (Priyank). To this Benafsha’s mother replied, “They have never contacted me. I don't know them at all. Parents don't always come into the picture when children are above 18. But since you've called, what I would like to say is that my daughter Benafsha and Priyank have been good friends even before Bigg Boss days. Benafsha comes across as someone who lives in the US. Her style is quite Westernised, which the Indian culture does not accept. Benafsha does not understand that she is in India, but she has no love feelings for Priyank. They may be friends and she might be even taking advice from him. But they are definitely not romantically involved. My daughter has other things in life- she is very busy with Netflix and MTV shows.”
SpotboyE asked her to comment on Divya’s post and what does she think of the WhatsApp conversation her daughter had with Divya. Benafsha’s mother said, “I am not aware of this. Benafsha and I haven't spoken about such messages. However, I will check with her. But as far as I know my daughter Benafsha, she has no relationship with Priyank. If Varun wants to get back with Divya and whether Divya is interested in taking him back, it's a matter that's strictly between them. If my daughter falls into these things, I will tell her to stay away.” She also added that she hopes to ask Benafsha to stay away from Priyank.
It seems to the world and their fans that Benafsha and Priyank are now dating. Revealing that such is not the case and they are just friends, Benafsha’s mother retorted, “I have spoken to even Priyank about this and he categorically told me that Benafsha and he are just friends.” Does she approve Priyanka? To this, she answered, “I haven't met him but spoken to him only on phone. In this line, most people are immature whatsoever their age. Benafsha’s mother then talks about Varun Sood and reveals that her daughter hadn’t really started loving Varun. She shared, “But my daughter hadn't started loving him. Varun took it in a different manner and we can't help it.” She also added that Varun loved Benafsha but she didn’t, “There was nothing from my daughter's side.”
Opening up more about Varun, she quipped, “He has done so much damage to her that she can never be friends with him again. He put his hand on her head and went ahead in life. If he was a good friend, he wouldn't have done that. He piggybacked on her popularity claiming that he is her boyfriend and became a name. It was so unethical.”
Did her daughter, snatched Divya’s boyfriend? Benafsha’s mother answered, “Woh uska problem hai if she (Divya) can't stop thinking like that, we really can't help it.” And giving her final words on the messed-up triangle of Divya, Priyank and Benafsha, the latter’s mother said, “I don't know what Divya has against my daughter. She should leave us alone. Why is she after Benafsha? And I really don't understand why Divya's family is trying to caution me. Unki beti ne bhi wohi kiya tha, unko samjhana chahiye tha na us waqt ki kaisa banda hai woh.
